Why does everyone act so shocked that what happened in the xbox vs ps2 era is happening with ps3 vs xbox360? Developers go for bigger user base and from what they see, more potential. Of course they can be easily swayed by sales spikes or superb first party games (wait, Nintendo never gets the 3rd party support it needs and it has great first party games).
I'm almost tempted to buy a xbox360 now, but I still have faith in Sony and its 3rd party support (although thanks to E...
really though, think about all of the action games with the jump button. What else is it really used for besides platforming? In battle you use it to go into a attack on occassion, its really not that useful when you think back on all those hours of GOW or any other action games. Did anyone miss the jump button when they were hacking away as Link in Twilight Princess? I rest my case :P
who here bets the PS3 will get shafted over the 360 version somehow? :P
the more systems sold to the public = the greater popularity of real video gaming (aside from party games on the wii). Can't wait till its common for every household to have at least 1 video game system.
Who cares about the console comparisons, what really should be highlighted in this rumor is that THIS GAME IS FINISHED!!! So that means all the bugs are ironed out, story is there, gameplay is there, and they've just been teasing gaming sites and magazines with early builds from last year right?! lol!!! (that'd be sarcasm for those who take it too seriously).
Unless they're the most efficient programmers in the world and have only been showing the public snippets of a finished...
wow do the graphics look bad. If anyone has played the original, they'll recognize the black sky background as the gameplay mechanic for when you go into a transformed state. Which means the game will probably play like the first one did for the wii: horribly. Considering the DS has one of the best fighters ever in its Bleach series, I'm extremely disappointed about the wii version, not looking forward to this at all.
10 air combos isn't too hard, just do a fast knockdown combo and as soon as they hit the ground knock them up and after touch. Once you chase them up into the skies all the enemies on the ground miss you, so if you can shake the controller right, you'll be invincible as soon as they fly up in the air.
What's hard is that the devs mentioned that one of their guys killed 6-7 guys from just one ricocheting after touch shield!!! Which by the way happened during a demo they showe...
Aerial combos really rely on the first hit. Make sure you hit someone either on the ground or someone you just knocked w/ a blockbreaker combo (/\ [] /\ is the quickest one to do, crotch kicker :P, although doing a [] /\ /\ [pause until she lands] /\ is much more satisfying). Now as soon as you land that first L1+/\, jerk the controller down, or up, or however you like, no need to shake it a ton. Now as it cuts to the closeup, just input your combos, there's quite a few, including using di...
hey no need to go caps crazy, I wasn't attacking you. Your preference is the button to block. For me, it wouldn't feel as natural since you're getting knocked backwards or sideways and you see her arms flailing... you press the button, expecting her to throw up her arms in sync with your button press... but she won't be able to block right away because she's falling backwards. People don't recover that quick (unless you're a Ninja ;)) Maybe i'm just justifying what they did (oh noes, i'm ...
First off, lets get the negative things out of the way:
-If you try to skip the cutscene, it takes ages to load the gameplay, why?
-Sound volume changes really strangely whenever you do a super move (circle button)
Now onto the good stuff:
This game looks good! Actually playing the game on the big screen really makes all the details from the trailers stand out. Animation is also amazing, as there are a TON of moves (and so many yet to unlock in th...
wow this makes NBA 08's graphics look sooooooo last gen. Guess Sony has been neglecting their sports franchise, but competition can only be a good thing!!
hey, I'm glad at least they're making a PS3 version that we can enjoy. It would have sucked if this game didn't come to our console at all... then again I'd probably just get the PC version :P
ermm if you remember next time, you can still edit it again this time, just change it to were... spell check doesn't correct grammar mistakes
seems like since there is no wii HD d/l for arcade games, many of these exclusives are just glorified $10 value arcade games... i mean, c'mon, how deep a game is Jenga going to be?
and of course Wii will get more and more games than other consoles, it takes very little money to produce a game in a short amount of time that will be bought by millions of mainstream gamers... as long as they package it with some cute designs and the game includes multiplayer modes with the wii rem...
actually, the screenshots make me kind of excited again for this franchise. Maybe we'll be playing in actual environments instead of bland forest or desert plains with nothing but the occasional building. Also, the ability to customize combos and chain them seems like a welcome addition, I wonder if you can make more combos while riding a horse now.
Overall, this has the potential to take a tried and true formula and give it just enough of a facelift to bring over the fans.....
Is it wrong to really be a fan of something you love? Whether its a video game system, a sports team, an artist, or another piece of technology? I think the main reason there is so much of an issue in regards to video game fanboyism is that many gamers just browse the web all day for news on their favorite system, resulting in more frequent and vocal chatter on the internet regarding video games. Also as a medium, the internet is more anonymous. You don't see a UCLA fan go into a USC bar ...
look at the description of the actor they're looking for... NO WAY will they find an actor fitting all of those criteria in America!!
I'm so glad they've been working on this game and expanding it instead of simply making it a create-your-own-level side scroller. This game will be hot!!
It better be a huge improvement over Gundam Musou. If they release another rehash with the bare minimum of improvements i'm going to puke.
Do people even listen to reviewers comments anymore? What's all this negativity towards Lair? In this review, it basically said
Pros:
Intuitive Controls
Smooth animations
well modeled Dragons
1080p
Cons:
Too much use of lighting effects
Standard missions (rescue this, kill that)
No multiplayer
Now anyone who likes air combat games would probably get a kick out of Lair, and maybe even find it to be ...
