New Macs w/ Blu-Ray = Final Cut Pro w/ blu-ray codec support... This will make pretty much one of the top editing programs IN THE FILM INDUSTRY stand as a supporter of Blu-Ray. All of the other industry talks about HD-DVD over Blu-Ray will really be examined after this happens. This would also probably cause many directors to be proponents of the format due to most of them using FC Pro, and a dramatic shift in studio support will follow.
yeah, i think this is one big issue that people here are quick to put aside. CAN YOU BEAT THIS GAME WITHOUT LEVELING UP AT ALL (he did beat the game for his first review apparently)? If someone with a 360 will try it for a bit and reply here so we know this isn't some BS re-review to get his advertisers back, it'd be greatly appreciated.
Antiomo is right, Halo 3 can't compete with the PC shooter club. What it has going for it is the sheer amount of people who play it, but as for top competitive FPS, you won't find it on the consoles.
Didn't really understand what you wrote but yeah, DBZ Budokai series was really good, but the characters felt a little bit floaty and didn't have the polish SF series had. I actually really liked the old Super Famicom DBZs that had the split screen when too far away or if one is in the sky and other is on the ground. Those were the days :P
Also Naruto is actually a really good game (for GC and PS2), GC one is like a Smash Bros. clone with more combos, and the PS2 one is jus...
as more people buy PS3s, I suspect a lot of the quality titles will be doubling in sales from when they were first released
Penny Arcade probably only has ever used the Ipod Touch or Iphone since you can't use them as externals yet, only the other ipods, way to jump on the Apple bandwagon Tycho.
seriously that rant about the "memory card" really pisses me off, and PA's forums are so annoying to navigate I can't find a thread about it to rant about their rant :P
the animation and effects for the in game fighting looks a LOT better, especially the knocking people around in mid air part. If the gameplay mechanics are good and accessible (the wii version left a bad taste in my mouth over the learning curve), this is a must buy
at the end of the day it really boils down to: is it a fun game? Forget comparisons to Forza, do you like the GT experience? Does the new additions (hey resistance i'd like to hear about the simulation mode racing type ppl mention, is it different feeling?) and improvements really warrant a look? What happened to the good days of PS2 and PSOne when people wouldn't compare it constantly to a competitor console's games?
this game really doesn't hold a candle in terms of graphics to the top games on either systems anyways, just look at the bland boxes and crates, ugh.
yeah, graphics and animation and art direction. Look at how they promoted Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War. Sure they were great games, but people took notice at first because of the superficial aspects, just like DMC. Also Xbox owners went bananas toting Ninja Gaiden, its just that last gen there were less multi-plat big games to compare.
if you couldn't even get a license on the original GT, driving games are probably just not meant for you. Maybe driving in real life is a chore too?
played 2 out of probably 14 CTF games where dropship was used effectively, but when both teams use it well, it becomes reallllly intense and fun. I say give it some time for the average player to get used to the idea of it. Dropships picking up flag carriers, dropping them off 1/3 across the map before being blown to bits or retreating, and dropships protecting bases with warhawks and tanks everywhere is just insane.
so its basically between first person shooters and action platformers :P
5 sec respawn time is set by servers not the patch
too bad they didn't let you download all 3 this wk for discount like normal ($5.49). What gives?
Statix: Let's see, how many people owned Dreamcasts? exactly. Also how many people really played PS2 online compared to the total userbase of PS2? right.... now lets see, the majority of PS3 and Xbox360 users are online... which makes these games many wouldn't have picked up before seem like a brand new toy to a brand new console franchise.
wow, the graphics style is really a breakthrough in terms of last gen's cell shading. Can't wait to see more cartoon and anime styled games done well for our gen's systems!!
as soon as any anti-sony news, lots of duplicate stories pop up.

Sorry Blademask, you're late to the party, oh and look, the submitted post above actually has a lot less personal bias unlike your description.
America is a BIG country. Its easier for Europe, Japan, and Korea to adopt the latest tech because getting the advertising out to your population is very very fast. You can also wire the whole country for internet much better than USA. Also people can blame our government or the mindset of the people, but really, its just a geographical problem, oh well live with it.
