article posts its being done by Namco Bandaged? Well either way if its Namco, that would have me VERY interested. Bandai on the other hand kind of churns out licensed anime crap in terms of its history with PS2 games...
wtf @ XGamer, hasn't it been stated so many times since PS3 first came out that Gamespot was more a fan of Microsoft? Now you're putting down the same site that gives raving reviews of your system's games, that's hypocrisy from yet another trolling fanboy.
wow this has been the worst looking female group I've ever seen in any pictures in the history of Japanese Gaming Conventions!
man if they keep extending the length of games, sure it will cater to some of you hardcore gamers, but for a lot of people this will end up just like FF12 (most people play it, then leave it unfinished for a year+ until they get around to finally finishing it, and some never finish it).
great game feels rushed. Quite a bunch of really random framerate drops, seems like they could have optimized the streaming from HD/Blu-Ray a LOT better. Also some funky bugs, like soldiers getting stuck on the road and not running towards you (happened to me twice playing the first arrow level)... I finished everyone off that I could, and others ran past me. This last guy was spasming and I left him alone for 3 min, nothing happened... Killed him, next scene started.
I like how most ppl who respond have never played the game or know its replay value. Each section of each chapter is graded in medals, you can replay each section as soon as you beat it. The more medals you get, the more MOVES AND SPECIAL MOVES YOU GET. Therefore, if you really wanted to play it through and play stylishly, getting new moves as you progress through the story, each chapter (there are 6) should take 2-6 hours depending on your skill level. This is on normal difficulty settin...
"PES plays better: at least in the preview code. For all its amazing technical advances, FIFA’s engine just can’t keep pace with the human mind, and PES’s can. In FIFA you find yourself constantly willing players to turn a little quicker, pass a little faster, run into those huge gaps. In PES the game is with you, all the way down the flank and into the box."
woo :)
@bloody: point taken, and I didn't see his old avatar. Just saying you don't always need to be the fan that fuels the flames, there's quite enough of that here already.
wow this is really the best review so far and doesn't sound like he has any preconceived biases of this game being the savior of PS3. The facts are laid out in the video and while I will still wait on a demo, I am 90% not going to buy this game.
touche? So I guess the face plate is for the GUITAR and not for any console system :P
And @Bloody Diarrhea: Can you be any more offensive in your posting? The wording you choose just screams obnoxious.
also in the news: ipod touch released, thinner than iphone with same features minus phone (has wi-fi browser!). Iphones also dropped in price by $200. yeah, good day for apple fans :)
decent review? a couple of spelling/grammatical errors and also this glaring point in one big paragraph:
"In order to level up your character, you have to play on an official Sony server and unfortunately it can be incredibly difficult to find a spot open on ANY of their servers."
Umm, guess he didn't notice that players also set up ranked servers? They are easier to get into than Sony's, but still, it does suck that Sony's servers are maxed out all th...
my clan is doing alright with 4 ranked dedicated non Sony servers :) Since they included this option, why not use it? Eventually in some years when Sony takes down its servers, only the player ones will remain anyways.
i won't look at this game until a demo comes out. If Sony believes in it, they shouldn't be afraid to bring a demo to show the world whether it sucks or not.
why are ppl so mad about it being a standard length action game? As the demo shows, most people enjoy playing this game over and over just because the fighting system is so fun. I definitely will get more than 6 hours of gameplay when this game comes out.
i think you will see more players running ranked servers than Sony when it reaches massive amounts of players. Thus allowing it to still be free, as the developers themselves said they are bringing over the same benefits PC users have been enjoying onto the console.
dont know guys, seems like this game would be good even w/ six axis if only they fixed the lock on combat controls. From everything I read, it sounds like its going to suck big time when you need to fight individual creatures 1v1.
They couldn't control the dragon:
"The first and biggest mistake that Lair's designers made is to require the use of the PlayStation 3's motion control. It's an exercise in frustration just trying to get your dragon to go where you want him to. It's probably great watching someone play Lair as they flail around like an idiot and are inevitably reduced to letting loose a volley of curse words at the screen, usually around the thirtieth time the game mistakes the controller ...
the developers take on what the game is like: the lovechild of Unreal Tournament and Battlefield.
A very accurate description, this game is a blast to play! I hope they definitely get new maps, and maybe 1 or 2 weapons per expansion (since they said they follow the PC models, just look at how Counter-Strike updated itself every half year :P)
seriously, lol at Dpa and the Sony haters. This article is more about hands-on report @ TGS.
"The next map we loaded up was the destroyed city level that we've detailed for you before and the level played just as well as it had in the past. The massive Darkwalker was still the focus of the level and wreaked an insane amount of havoc each and every time it was piloted. There was a bit of a bug in which the framerate would drop substantially when the screen filled with its ...
