MGS4 was awesome, but not divine, and it certainly wasn't promoted well enough. And now it looks like the same fate will befall KZ2.

I'm very excited about this game and I want it to do well. More and more it's starting to feel like the 5th Cylon, like the future of the PS3 hinges on KZ's performance. I want the PS3 to astonish us. I want this game to garner support and excitement for the console. But for that to happen, Sony needs to advertise it.

Played it. Loved it. Never had any glitches UNTIL I installed it. I thought maybe the textures might load faster, less pop-in, but wound up getting some poly smearing and tearing and sections that just never wanted to render.
Definitely recommend playing this off the disc. Definitely will be buying this edition. God, the music!

Since the inception of television, movie theaters have always worked to separate themselves from TV. At first they did this with color. Then they did it with surround sound. Now - with home theaters as advanced as they are - 3D is the new trend in a time-honored and typically successful tradition of convincing people to go to the movies.

Greenterd - agreed. If this game ran on the 360, I don't think many of these questions would be asked. I imagine a slew of other, benign opinions stirring up fanboy sentiment in some way. Imagine how annoying the comparisons would be then. Xbots wouldn't have to imagine the comparison between games like Crysis or Call of Duty or Halo. They could compare Killzone to Killzone. I've had enough of people toting about KZ graphics. Of course they're beautiful. But the prettiest build in the world is worthless if it doesn't play well. I'm most interested to know about the controls and this article isn't a rant, it's not a fan boy. It's a sensible opinion.

I didn't know that the persistent character was confirmed. I heard it was a possibility but that they're also toying with the idea of making your original Shepard an NPC that you interact with throughout the game.
If we all start out with superhero Shepards, wouldn't it make leveling up a little less important? Or they'd have to severely scale the enemies up.
As someone said already, the conversation seems mute until an announcement is made about the first Mass Effect going to PS3. Unless they're taking a left turn with the 2nd game (which I don't think they are), I don't see how you could fully enjoy the story without playing through the first one.

Seriously though, that's some of the most beautiful footage I've seen from a game. The animations are unbelievable.
I enjoyed the sh*t out of Forza 2. I own GT5P with the driving force wheel and it is a far better simulator, but it took the driving wheel for me to finally appreciate GT over Forza. I loved the first Forza and it's sequel and it absolutely plays better on a standard controller than GT does. Is this a good thing or a bad? I can't say.
