Come to think of it I agree that Batman did stealth rather well. Maybe I should try the game on its harder setting.
Come to think of it Assassin's Creed doesn't do too much of a bad job either. It is a very nice mix of action when you need it and stealth. Also gives you the choice in how to do things.
I think the complete change from Resident Evil 3 to 4 was a great one. Metroid turning into a First Person game was also a brilliant choice and well executed. Sometimes it works. MGS4 didn't work as an action game either and I am gutted they changed that franchise too.
I love the old Splinter Cell games and I don't mind games evolving (Resident Evil 4), but sometimes they take it too far. I think a stealth action game where you can capture the Bourne feel would be absolutely perfect. The Mark and Execute feature was an amazing step into achieving the feel. Unfortunately the game doesn't seem to strike the difficulty balance or the balance between stealth and action.

Make it like the Resi1 REmake and I will be happy. Classic layout with added areas etc. New cutscenes and voicework. Keep the fixed camera angles and tank controls.
My one gripe is why a Police Station would require you to do stuff like put an emblem in a fountain to make a key pop out of it.

Your post has actually made me realise that I am under estimating it, but I still don't feel the need to purchase the system right now. Hopefully its library can fall in line with the PSP and get a GodOW, Final Fantasy, GTA and a unique MGS title. Until then my 3DS will keep me happy (yes, I believe I got this a little pre-maturely too, but it was a gift).

I agree with you on this one. As great as Borderlands may be this approach to DLC totally stinks. I think if you release something called a "season pass" then you should get all the content. You should be rewarded HEAVILY for making such a blind investment with your money.

I have barely seen any Peace Walker gameplay, but fulton mine and launcher sounds fun. I guess I will be able to get over the fact there is no crawling and the game is probably balanced around this feature.

But since you CAN get it cheaper elsewhere you probably should. Paid £5.00 for my copy 2 years ago and £2.00 for my girlfriends copy a few months later.
I don't want to make transactions on a US account. It just can't be bothered having an account for the sole purpose of purchasing off the US store. I really shouldn't have to consider this as an option. If EU customers are resorting to this then there is obviously something very wrong with SCEU.
I never played Pokemon Snap, but a brand new game for Wii-U with the tablet as the camera sounds interesting.
Decent deal. My only gripe with the console is how the disc drive has changed to a top loader. It doesn't sit right with me.
Still no sign of Counter Strike so I'm giving this game a miss if it releases on the EU store. I will not pay a penny towards this game on PSN. Same thing happened with Street Fighter 2:HDRemix. I'm glad my money went to a game like Sound Shapes.
I guess I should try MGS Peace Walker on my MGSHD collection. I was put off by not being able to crawl, but I guess I'm worrying for nothing. Hopefully I'm pleasently surprised too.
A bulk of MGS4 for me was just forced action scenes and boss fights. Full on action plays a bigger part in MGS4 than any other numbered MGS title to date. Heck, you can play Splinter Cell Conviction without raising alarms. Doesn't change the fact the action has a bigger part in the game.
