I applaud this comment. I respectfully disagree, but it is cool to see such an out of the box view on the series.
10-2 having the best combat, not liking FF9, disliking FF9's setting... wow! nice to see opinions that are soooo different to mine. I hope you do grow to like FF9. FF7 will always be my fave, but after going back and playing it I realize FF9 is the better game and hasn't aged as horribly as FF7.
Capcom... will not buy.
I don't think FF13 was as bad as people make it out to be, but it isn't the amazing game it was anticipated to be.
1. I liked the combat system once I embraced the change.
2. The music was a very strong point for me. I don't know why, but it really sticks out in my mind.
3. I liked the leveling up system and Paradigm system.
Unfortunately a huge chunk of what I enjoyed from previous FF games were absent. Towns, side quests, mini g...
I am hoping for the ability to stream game demo's. I would buy all my games in physical form and choose to stream a demo rather than download it. It would just suit me. Not like it matters because I am able to download demos REALLY fast, but streaming would be even more ideal for me.
I have watched gameplay videos and I am not too excited by what I have seen. Leon's campaign looks to be the best by far, but the fact that it is coop is off putting. They have 3 campaigns so why not have one of them a single player experience where you are alone? I just don't like being assisted by AI in my Resident Evil games.
my optimism isn't helped by Capcom's attitude this generation either. This game will have to wait until the "super gold" e...
I don't know why, but I always think of the Jenova theme. It is by no means my favorite, but the song just sticks in my head and has done since my childhood.
Final Fantasy 13 had a general boss song that was brilliant. I think it was titles "Saber's edge".
Some other note worthy themes from this gen that surprised me are Gwyn Lord of Cinder's theme and Ornstein and Smough. Both themes are from Dark Souls and add so much to the encounter...
House of the Dead 3 for just over £3:00. I guess it would be rude not to buy that. Will give me a reason to use my PSMove. The PS1 FF games for around £4:00 a pop is pretty nice too. For just over 5pounds I recommend Lara Croft:GOL to just about anybody (especially if you like coop). Not the best week for me since I own everything I want on the list (minus House of the Dead), but luckily I am a PS+ Subscriber and DeusEX for FREE and also a Rainbow Moon discount is going to keep me h...
It is clear that your insight into the gaming industry and knowledge of the industry in general is severely low, so I don't actually blame you for your opinions.
As a fan of gaming in general (not just a "ninny fan") I think my opinion holds significantly more weight than yours. Sure the hardware isn't the most powerful on the 3DS, but it is still quality and the software line up trumps anything that has been seen on a Sony handheld. Its a classic case of Ha...
Your nephew clearly has better taste in hardware than you.
:-)
A 9 sounds worthy to me. You say you know how game scores work, but I actually don't believe you do. I doubt you have the ability to look at the game from a critical perspective.
A feat like Skyrim should generally hit high 8's and low 9's, but of course the occasional higher end 9 is entirely understandable (even if I don't agree with it).
I'm enjoying mine... Had it for around a week now. My friend wants one and my GF wants one too. I think things will really pick up soon.
No... it's an action RPG. End of.
I was actually anticipating this game. How unfortunate that this game turned out the way it did. The consistent poor reviews have discouraged me from buying this title.
I have just got a 3DS and OOT... I also haven't finished MM. I would very much welcome this game with open arms.
The lack of Peace Walker is very disappointing. At least you're still getting MGS2 and 3. They even stated that it includes the best portable version of MGS3. It makes me want to see their review for MGS3DS. Either way I think that one statement makes it worthy of a purchase (at least for MGS3 fans).
I agree that there are bandwagon hoppers. As for the debate of weather this is a good move or not I am not informed enough to know what to think. I am pretty much on the fence. I guess it isn't bad to have an extra feature, but it depends how it's implemented.
I agree... Zelda is a fine example of great controls on a Wii title. It is also a fine example of what a great Wii title should be like. It is crafted in such a way that the control scheme is natural and responsive. Also, it feels like I am playing a game, but at the same time I am experiencing something different.
A bit off topic, but Metroid Prime3 was great for FPS and I personally think the Wii controls went hand in hand with Resident Evil4's game design. Perfect exam...
You "could care less"? So that means you could actually care less? or did you mean "couldn't care less"? That would imply it was at the bottom of your cares.
I hope it works out well for you on PC. I don't have the PC to play it so I am waiting for the DLC. I am having so much fun on this game right now and the community is brilliant (troll the cry babies and fight with honour against the respectable players). I can imagine the PC community having a lot of fun with this one. Just praying they fix the frame rate issues for you.
I really enjoyed Braid. I picked it up because of all the praise and I didn't like how it looked. How wrong I was. There is just something about the sense of accomplishment when completing puzzles that just drives me forward in games. Sorry to see you didn't enjoy the experience.
