Wait what? When did System Shock 3 get announced? Totally missed that. Is it real?
Really curious about this. Ususally I feel restricted by similar software but this looks like they're giving us enough freedom to create whatever we want to create. Hopefully it's intuitive enough to give our creativity free rein.
Definately looks interessting to me. Need more information before really getting excited but I'll keep an eye on this one.
Honestly those expectations weren't very realistic to begin with. Epic games isn't exactly known for story-driven games (Besides Gears of War maybe?). And Cory Barlog has joined SSM in August 2013 so he's working on God of War for just about 2 years tops.
AAA games need time to get made. You can't expect them to have a handful of megatons at every conference. Obviously they'll try to have as many of them at E3 as possible for the mainstream audience. PSX is for the hardcore fans that also want to hear about the smaller games and watch the panels beside the keynote.
Can't wait. Ni no Kuni was one of my favorite games of last gen.
Ni no Kuni!
AWESOME
@Kingthrash360: Then I guess calling Konami stupid would be the understatement of the year. Ruining their reputation and probably harming the sales of MGSV just for a surprise reannouncement of Silent Hills at PSX? Even Konami doesn't have the audacity that is nessessary to pull off such a stunt.
I think your last prediction does actually have a fairly high chance of coming true. Or at least somewhere around the timeframe/price.
I doubt that Sony would collaborate with Activision on a new Crash game though. I don't think Crash would sell enough copies for them to justify shared publishing. Also if Activision is involved the chances of the game turning out mediocre are too high.
That would be nice. I still think it's way too early for Kojima to give any details on what he's working on though.
@abzdiine: Batman & Robin was awesome. It was also one of the more challenging games on the console.
@NewMonday: That'a a pretty bold prediction considering Nintendo NX launches 2 years later. Following the Wii-U's weird design choices and confusing marketing there is no doubt that Nintendo is the underdog this time around.
^this.
Not to mention that multiple mythologies can't really coexist in the same world. They share too many similarities. It doesn't make sense to have multiple kings of gods or multiple gods of the underworld for example.
I'm not against a GoW styled game set in another mythology but it would have to be a new franchise imo.
Pretty sure the 4 logo thing has been in older GoW related videos already. Also Cory Barlog has confirmed that they are working on a GoW game a year ago.
That's sad to hear. How does the writing compares to the Tomb Raider reboot? I was hoping it would improve because the awful writing was the one thing that pretty much ruined my enjoyment of the game.
Well they had FFVII, Shenmue and The Last Guardian at E3 so you never know. Maybe they saved Crash for PSX.
Can't wait. I don't think I'm ready for the yotatons though.
It runs fine most of the time. I'm over 40 hours in and it's definately enjoyable. There have been 2 spots for me so far with really major framerate drops. One of them is fairly early in the main quest line where you are in a building. It's definately noticable that the game cannot maintain a stable 30 fps during that mission. Another spot is around a village called Goodneighbour where the framerate randomly drops really low near the entrance of the village.
Some...
Awesome trailer. Never got to play it on PS3 so I'll check the PS4 version out at some point.
Nice.
