It's coming out on the 16th..
Now we just need a Demon's Souls remaster on PS4 and we'll have the whole souls/borne franchise on a single platform.
Agreed. I get the criticism for the base package of SFV though. Not having an Arcade-mode was a mistake but they marketed the game as an evolving platform from the beginning. They announced all the content that is included in the day1 edition. They played with open cards from the beginning.
@Last_Boss: How is Alpha 3 a base version when there were Alpha 1 and 2 before that?
How exactly does that impact anyone? The Arcade edition is nothing more than the vanilla version with the first 2 season passes included. This is standard practice for the majority of games that have dlc nowadays. The reason they said there will be no super version is because they wanted to assure people that they won't have to buy another version of SFV.
He probably just has a cheap 8bit HDR TV. If he would've even seen 10bit HDR material with static metadata on a good TV he probably wouldn't say that. If he would've seen HDR10+ or Dolby Vision with dynamic metadata on an OLED screen he would've to be crazy to call it a scam.
Huh? That's exactly my point. Maybe you should reread my comment.
Well console sales are irrelevant compared to the profit they are making on software. Also 3rd party support would probably drop off a cliff if Nintendo wouldn't be able to handle the problem.
@EddieNX & people disagreeing with you:
Why are you arguing over semantics? The distinguishing factor between the Switch and the other consoles is that it's portable. When designing a portable system you need to meet certain requirements. It needs to be compactly designed to be portable. This restricts you in terms of hardware compared to a stationary home console. A portable console also requires a screen which a home console doesn't. What's the point in ar...
The gaming market is big enough that even niche titles can be successful. Not that Ghost of Tsushima even falls in that category to begin with. If a game like Nier: Automata can easily be successful on the PS4 I don't see how Ghost of Tsushima would be in danger of failing.
I don't know much about game sharing but it's definitely possible to share physical copies of games on PS4. I know some people that do game sharing digitally on PS4 as well so I don't know how it is different on Xbox One.
The EA app is absolutely irrelevant to me personally. I haven't bought a single EA game this console-generation. I think the last EA game I bought was Dead Space 3 in 2013. With the recent shift towards multiplayer-based microtransaction-he...
I agree with this. It really depends on the game. Most games don't really require much skill or understanding of the underlying mechanics to beat. Also the average gamer isn't really good at games anyway so I don't see why the reviewer shouldn't be allowed to represent the vast majority of the playerbase.
On the other hand I'd personally like a reviewer to go in depth on the mechanics of the game when reading/watching a review for a fighting game or a st...
GoW is probably my most anticipated game of this generation so far. I can't wait to see how it turns out. I'm curious to see how they implement the norse mythology into the story too.
I'm in the second palace right now and I'm having a great time wih the game so far. I haven't read most of the points to avoid spoilers but the ones I've read are completely ridiculous:
2. Endless Cut Scenes: I don't even understand what you are criticising here. Yeah if you skip the cutscenes you won't understand the story... that's pretty much the case with any story driven game ever released. If you fall asleep while watching a movie you proba...
I have to say Nintendo have proven me wrong. I never thought it would be this successful. But looking back at it now they've deserved the success. While I'm not a fan of the design choices they've taken with the hardware there is no denying that Nintendo are delivering on the software front. In fact their first and second party support have completely outweighed my reservations towards the console and convinced me to buy one. It's nice to see Nintendo back on their feet.
Talking about the real world. You should check it out on occasion. Maybe it'll help you realise that the vast majority of women don't give a rat's ass about digital genetalia.
Watched it live after an amazing Capcom Cup. I'm so hyped for season 3. Sakura and Sagat were to be expected but it's nice to have it confirmed finally. Sakura gameplay looks great. I'm so happy that Blanka is returning. He's always been one of my favorites. Can't wait to see how they've changed him for 5. Cody's redisign and the two new characters look cool too.
Well done Capcom.
Really? I was kinda confused by his "presentation". First starts by praising the game awards just to shit on the Oscars in the next moment for no apparent reason. Then he goes on praising his own game saying it's impossible to dislike it. I understand he is passionate about his project but it seems a little overconfident to me. What really confused me though was his weird attempt at defending EA just because they were good to him, saying each publisher screws up some times. In th...
I agree with that 100%. Quality > quantity. But if we can have both I won't say no.
Fault? It was never meant to be launched comlpeted. Capcom announed from the very beginning that it is going to be an evolving platform for years to come. Not to mention that every single Street Fighter game after SF1 added content after release (hence the different version tradition).
I understand criticism for lacking essential content like an arcade mode but whoever bought the game expecting more then they've got was simply uninformed. I bought it day 1 and have bee...
