It's already out on the SNES.
I totally agree. I am hyped like hell but I have a lot of things to do so the time goes by pretty quickly.
It's nostalgia. Don't worry it'll come when you own a ps4 for a couple of years.
While I do agree that we'll have to wait some time til the real power of the consoles will be seen I still believe that the launch games will blow me away. Even a slight improvement of details, animation, lighting and physics in 1080p and 60fps will look jaw dropping on a good HDTV.
The thing I hate about Crytek is that they only speak about graphics all the time. I get the feeling they only want to sell their engine.
I think you mean the "no shit? news" of the day
New Call of Duty Game Confirmed For 2013 - I'm shocked
I disagree. You could've said the same thing about free online play vs. pay for online play model. Microsoft takes money for online play and gets away with it. Maybe they can get away with blocking used games too.
I think Sony will go with 2 different models for launch. A basic version for about 300-399$/€ and another version with a bigger hard drive and some other goodies (PSPlus, Game, additional Controller) for 400-499$/€. Of course it's just speculation but I doubt that Sony will go above 499$/€.
If Sly 4 sells good enough Sony could handle the Jak and Daxter franchise over to Sanzaru games.
Most people don't understand how much more processing power you need for higher resolution and framerate.
720p 30fps = 27,6 Mpx/s
1080p 60fps = 124,4 Mpx/s
It's not just about pixels but you can see that the console needs to push four and a half times the amount of pixels per seconds to render same quality in 1080p and 60fps.
Edit: I think 1080p and 60fps is realistic for PS4 by the way.
If Sony start charging for online play I won't buy the PS4. At least not til the console has enough great single player games. But I sure as hell won't pay an annual fee for something I already payed for. If everybody did that with Xbox360 Online play would be free on it too.
Reply to your second post:
The hype is always created by the people. But it was iniciated by Sony. With all the recent rumors about next gen Sony knows that a teaser titled "See the future" will let people believe that they'll announce the PS4 there. If it wouldn't have anything to do with PS4 Sony would have stated that by now.
I'd say things turn out just as Sony has planned.
I have to disagree. Though Last of Us looks really impressive it's not on the same level as the character in this video. If you look at best face model this gen I would say Beyond is even more realistic than Last of Us.
I'm not desperate at all and to be quite honest I didn't even care that much for next gen cause there are so many games I missed this gen so I need some time to catch up. But after seeing the 'See the Future' teaser things have changed. I can't wait too see the PS4 now.
1. See the future.
2. These aren't sony symbols. They are playstation symbols.
It basically says "see the future of playstation". So it's not that absurd to think that it might have to do something with the PS4.
I don't know why Sony should make such a teaser if it hasn't anything to do with PS4. Everybody expects something PS4 related so everything else would be a big disappointment.
GTA Vice City was the last GTA I played and I remember having a lot of fun with it. It even was my first open world game I think. To be honest GTA VC still has the best setting of any GTA game to me. But somehow I can't really get hyped for a GTA game anymore.
I agree but we will get used to the name I think. I think Sega always had the best console names: Master System, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast.
I'd rather see a brand new game from QD on the PS4.
