I would like to add that you won't see that much of a difference between a 1080p and 4k TV anyway if the TV isn't ridiculously large. It would take so much more processing power too produce 4k in the same quality as current gen games that there wouldn't be much recources left for anything else like lightning or framerate.
I bought my PS3 for 600€ day one but to be honest I see that the pricepoint did a lot of damage to Sony. It took a long time for the PS3 to be succesful and Sony probably won't do the same mistake again. On the other hand I think that gaming isn't for kids only anymore and kids were never meant to be the target group of the PS3. I really hope for a high quality product that will be far more powerful than the PS3. I would think that a pricepoint around 400€-500€ max with a release in 2...
Multiplat = Best on High-End-PC (graphically not overall)
I don't really like Nintendo's past consoles either but I do like some of the games only playable on those consoles. And now that Nintendo is getting more exclusive hardcore games (at least it looks like they do) I probably will have to buy a Wii-U at some point. Good thing is that it'll be backwards compatible.
They should show different chars on the cover fighting each other . And they should show a stage. Let's say Kratos is fighting Nariko and Sir Dan is attacked by Hades is the Hades stage. Something like that would be cool.
I wouldn't count FF XII, XI and X-2 too their golden age. I wouldn't even count FFX too their golden age.
FF VI, VII, VIII and IX bolong to the golden age of Square to me. After they became SquareEnix the golden age was over.
To be honest with you I don't see any problem in that. Games used to be hard because they wanted you to put more coins in the arcade machines but now ... what's the problem with different difficulty options. I mostly play games on the hardest difficulties and would never start with easy mode but what if someone is not that expirienced and wants to enjoy the game too. It's not like the hard mode is gone after that right.
Yeah really great games. I remember getting Ristar on my 6th birthday. I still play it from time to time.
Sparkster games were great too.
My ranking for FF Games I played:
Best:
1. FF VIII (best story in any FF) and FF VI (best traditional FF)
2. FF FFVII (First 3D, great setting and atmosphere) and FF IX (Medieval Setting, best main char)
3. FF XIII (Great story, fun gameplay)
Mediocre:
4. FF X (good story but annoying minigames like blitzball or the monsterfarm)
Worst:
5. FF XII (FF in MMORPG style, ...
Yeah that game was awesome. I still have it too and now that I got reminded I am thinking about playing it. If I reacall correctly it was pretty hard too. You can't really compare it to the Arkham series though.
That's a great idea. If it's true I would get a PS+ acc immediately. The only thing I'm worried about is if it would work with my Internet connection.
Well Sony's conference wasn't ideal but since there were no competition ... yes they had the best press conference of the big three. Microsoft had the worst but the big loser is still Nintendo to me. How can you have a next gen system on board and not show any next gen games? Everything they showed could easily run on current gen consoles so where is the point? I don't get it I heard they had some amazing stuff at their booths but instead of showing new stuff they are showing Batm...
I don't think Quantic dream will ever do a sequel.
My 60gb launch ps3 just got the ylod. I will get it fixed though. Not interessted in the slim version cause it's ugly. also it doesn't have 4 usb ports an sd card slots so I don't really have a choice. Too bad the fix will take almost a month.
I don't know. When I saw Watchdogs I thoght this has to be a Wii U and PC only game because of the graphics but then Beyond looked even better too me. Of Course that's something totally different since Beyond will be more like an interactive movie with fixed camera angles and so on while Watchdogs looks to be an open world game. Both are technically very impressive in a totally different way.

Beyond had the most impressive graphics for me. I was expecting something like that from Wii-U but they didn't show any next-gen quality (tech-wise). Watchdogs, Last of Us and Ascension were really impressive too.
When I saw it I instantly thought: That's gonna be a flop. I can't talk for everybody else but I'm not interessted in Wonderbook at all.
So maybe it will sell good even if it's hard to believe for me.
Man I'm so disappointed. The only thing that interessted me was Mario bros u. I was expecting to see something more innovative than this and after Sonys Last of Us, Gow and Beyond demonstration I was expecting something that looks even more fantastic. After that conference I have not the feeling that Nintendo showed a next gen system at all.
It was on Ubisoft conference. We don't even know if it will be on ps3.
I wouldn't say this gen is tired. Some of the highlights are still to come and 2011 and 2012 are among the strongest years this gen with 2013 looking to become a great year too. There is still so much to come especially for PS3.
