Why throw in 8 GB of GDDR5 when it's much smarter to throw in 32GB of DDR3 (which is faster than GDDR5) for general purpose CPU and system level access which favor good latency, and top that with another 4GB or GDDR5 (which has higher bandwidth than DDR4) dedicated just for the graphic operations which favor bandwidth over latency?
That's actually what worries me about next gen: the PS3 and Xbox 360 were loud, because they fans to ventilate quickly in order to bring down excess heat. Next gen consoles however don't seem to push the envelope that way.
You know what's also very silent? My mobile phone running (average looking )games at full HD. You know what's loud? My GTX 680 when it's pushed to the max.
If you're machine is running too quiet, it means you are not pushing ...
What kind of retarded article is that!? Of course you re-write software, especially before launch: you need to optimize and itirate.
Hell, the PS3 and X360 showed how important is code rewriting after launch, improving memory management and decreasing OS footprint so new games can use more resources.
Once again CinemaBlend writers take the cake at blatantly leeching of another website article, only to misinterpret it and prove themselves to be clueless. How c...
@SlapHappyJesus, Maybe you missed a few things, but the games from that "black sheep" received far better worldwide recognitions, where some revolutionized entire genres.
And his "worst" recent game Fable 3 is still getting better reviews than beyond, for the the negative criticism it received.
@InMyOpinion that is actually a pretty good comparison!
Both had a game released late last gen (Indigo/Fable) to pretty good reviews, came up with a newer game this gen that got better reviews (HR/F2) and then kinda lost their touch in the third outing (BTS/F3).
And both can have their passion sometimes be mistaken with arrogance.
Actually it's a perfect example that in all genres you have better games and worse games. Heavy Rain scored far better with the critics, And the Walking Dead did even better. Hell, The Wolf Among Us is which was just released this week is walking the same genre and gets much better review.
This is just about Beyond Two Souls not being all that good compared to other titles in the same genre. As simple as that.
No, that's just how things work in reality. you drive at 9am towards east and you get sun in your eyes. It happens a lot because it's a god damn circular track. You came out as a bullshitter so don't try to divert it - it will sound much less pathetic if you simply apologize for your error.
but hey, a true fanboy will do whatever it takes to turn down a game, right? I guess you probably only consider arcady night racing and rain as next gen features, right? Better...
The mobile advancement is not rapid, but rather steady. The article indicates that in 2015 we will finally see mobile tablet SoC which is the equivalent of a 10 years old budget non-mobile console system. It's about as "revolutionary" as a mobile device in 2005 with graphics equivalent of a PS1.
- First, Tegra 6 is mentioned in the graph as a 2015 release. Don't know why the writer implied this nonsense
- Second, even if it was the case, it would be incredibly dumb to postpone Tegra 6 just because you want Tegra 5 to sell more. The competition will not sit idle and wait for you.
- And lastly, Tegra 4 is already out. No need to focus on development of it anymore from R&D perspective: manufacturers who are looking for an SoC can simply opt in to buy it.
GT6 doesn't only have it's roots in the current gen, but everything else from stem to leaves. It is simply a current cent game.
Infact, if you try hard even Forza and Driveclub show some current gen roots, but once you actually hit the actual gameplay the difference between them and GT6 is indeed a generation gap:

Soylent green is made of people
It's one thing to bee nitpicky about something, but it's a whole other thing to be a complete douche to the point you're actually ridiculing yourself.
This course is from Laguna Saca, and when you drive north on the rahal straight you can see how the sun is almost directly to your east, casting shadow to your left and suggesting early morning. When you drive east, the sun is flaring directly in your eyes. And during turns the shadow and lighting effects perfectly ...
But the good thing for us who bought it either dead cheap or expensive on release day, is that we now have over 20M gold members that are able to join us on multiplayer sessions.
The gameplay of Rainbow six is still rock solid, and there haven't been many similar games in recent years (thanks to Patriots being indefinitely delayed). This kind of free offer for tens of millions of subscribers can throw in a new life into the multiplayer matchmaking, which is a great win fo...
I'm not sure if "As a christian" does a great service to your arguments. At least in the past Christians seemed to have been comfortable with crusades, the inquisition, withchunting etc.
After all, GTA is merely pixels on a screen, with a slightly adult oriented theme. But do you have a copy of the holy bible at your house? Try reading it. My or my, it makes GTA sound as innocent as Dora the explorer....
Oh, you mean like we can already do in GTA IV on our PC, with the built in video recorder and editor? Great that consoles keep up with the times...
But I won't bother with GTA V for next gen consoles. On the PS3 and the PC online multiplayer is available for free, ensuring that all of my friends will be able to play the game without having to shell out any money.
I will either get it on the console day 1 for the single player campaign, or wait for the superior PC ...
You gotta be kidding me. Right? Right?

Full day night cycle in Forza Horizon, and not a single person cared. In fact, it is considered by many to be the weak entry in the Forza franchise. A sort of an arcady step brother that doesn't really compete with the proper Forza games in the series.
Night driving was available on PGR3 which was a last gen 360release title, so by your logic that puts Driveclub at about the same spot by default.
I see you didn't pay attention. AI only become "glitchy" (or rampant as Calamity corrected you) after 7 years.
But who cares? nobody is going to hold on to the same phone for 7 years. Problem solved.
This is the only comment here making actual sense. Discussion resolutions of unreleased games is as meaningless as putting Watch Dogs in a "2013 GOTY contenders" only to realize it's postponed to 2014.
