What extras does it have?
Back then they sold the game to anyone including children. This time with all the ERSB posturing M ratings will be enforced.
I'm not saying the kiddies won't get their hands on it somehow, but the 10 to 15 set really drove the sales of halo 2 and that won't happen with H3.
Just my opinion as always.
Positive feedback from me.
Are you saying that's not good enough?
There are very few "legal" DVDs of any kind in China.
How does this help Toshiba? Not at all.
Play those while you're waiting (Avoid "DeadLocked" for now though).
At least get the first three games in the series.
Fake, fabricated...whatever. Read the original:

All of the killzone2 GP footage we've seen is in God mode/medium difficulty. So we're not seeing the AI as it would be in normal mode.
The DEV also explained that the AI is aware of all the physics objects and knows what part of the environment is destructible to shoot the player through.
Who knows how aggressive the AI is on hard with god mode disabled?
A certain segment of the gaming press are going to grade the PS3 games on a curve.
The real gamers will do the judging for themselves. Note the average gamers' score for LAIR is about 7.5 out of 10.
...in his gameplay footage.
I don't care for the ACE COMBAT like play structure, but there's nothing wrong with the controls. No pop-in either.
He probably used an old de-bug PS3 & sixaxis to do the review.
I find it amazing that most of the IGN Playstation team don't even own a PS3. One would think that a requirement for the job.
It wasn't the controls that got me on that level, it's was just plain confusion.
I hate the ACE COMBAT series for that very reason. Other pilots (or dragon jockeys in this case) barking at me to do this or that before all is lost and the mission fails.
I love flying the dragon around in battle destroying the enemy, it's being timed that ruins the experience.
They're screaming at you to hurry and there's no time to get your bearings let alone find ...
Procedural textures require a massive amount of number-crunching to create. Folding@home *massive* number crunching.
I have a bit of experience creating these for 3D rendered art on the PC and it really chokes the machine more than big bitmap textures etc.
EDIT: Don't confuse "procedural textures" with "streaming textures". KZ2 will be using streaming textures, most console games have to do that now including GeoW for example.
"You can't say the dragon turns on a dime, because if anything it turns like an 18-wheeler."
It *can* turn on a dime in a way:
While in flight grip L2 or R2 (not both) then make your sharp turn and let go of trigger. The dragon will shoot out in the direction you came from and the camera will whip around to follow.
SixAxis option for PS3.
The people complaining are just unskilled with the motion control.
The controls are tight - one to one with the dragon.
You're piloting a glider with wings and a bit of AI. It's not like flying a plane. Anticipation of location and timing are needed a bit more.
A creature can't fly from point A to point B like a rocket etc.
Here's my advice:
Rent or borrow the game, complete the first chapter to unlock the training gro...
LAIR gives you a really good dragon flying experience.
I have all the dragon games for Xbox 1/Ps2 and Lair is the best of them all for the flight experience.
If you don't like dragon riding this game isn't for you. It's not an arcade-shooter at all.
Once you get used to the motion controls you can fly with slight hand movements. I over did it last night with big arm sweeping gestures and now my shoulders are a bit sore.
Same problem...
It takes some getting used to - it's not the same old gaming experience you get with joy sticks.
Laying back in the easy-chair is a no go. Your arms and hands have to move freely.
The dragon moves exactly with the sixaxis and flight is smooth and easy. The 180 turn is tricky though.
Now just need to get the kids to bed and I can play...
This is one of those games where you replay your favorite chapters just to perfect your combat skills and because it's great fun to do so when you're finally good at it.
I hate to hear reviewers suggesting a rental over purchase because it's good for gaming to support the developers.
Rent if you're unsure, but make every effort to buy it if you can - whatever platform.
