I was wondering about running at 30 FPS on both consoles. Thought the PS4 should at least hover around 45-60 FPS given its horse power advantage.
I think 10-15 hrs is the sweet spot. Games like Witcher 2, FF 13 where I'm putting in over 20 hrs I get bored and stop playing after awhile.
Whatever I might be I'll take it. If I start playing Madden at noon on a Saturday, 9 times out of ten the controllers dies right before 8:00. My XB1 controller I've only changed out the rechargeable batteries ounce per controller since 12/26/2013. Holding off on buying a 2nd DS4 controller, I have a feeling Sony will release a new higher capacity DS4 battery later on this year.
God of War Ascension was pretty good, but I think the developers only wanted to show off the PS3 graphics capabilities. Hell GODA looks better than most next gen titles I've played. But yeah GODA was all over the place with time jumping, couldn't finish got lost in the story.
I call BS on every game in MS, the editor put this crap in just to get hits knowing the fanboys will be up in arms. The only game I was not too impressed with is Forza 5. Otherwise DR3, Ryse, KI, hell I can throw in Zumba as well is met or exceeding my expectations.
Simply Sony built a system developers friendly with a proven recent history of great third party sales. Nintendo on the other aimed to low with their specs and marketing.
Yeah Trine 2 demo looked good in 3D. Probably the best example of 3D I've experienced. I've been wanting to dump my blu ray player for awhile now but both so called next gen consoles can't play 3D movies or properly stream my video and audio media from my NAS without some kind of convoluted work around. If both companies want their box to be the center piece of the living, MS and Sony need to get the ball rolling with updates to add features last gen had as a standard.
God! I love MS and Sony put 8 GBs of ram in their system with at least 5 available to developers.
MS needs to have great software to make up for their hardware, similar to what the PS2 did to MS Xbox. MS did dropped the ball on their hardware and software a bit, its not an huge drop but they caught coping their competitors (Cough Nintendo) and forgot about what made their console great (Kinect is not needed). I will give kudos to MS controller batter life, had my unit almost a month and only changed my rechargeable eneloop batteries ounce per controller since 12/26/2013.
Looks good! Before they delayed it I thought Forza 5 looked better, but this title now looks a generation ahead. I wish it was still free, seeing $59.96 off Amazon now.
Damn that was quick, I don't need the light on to indicate what player I am, hell I only play my PS4 SP, not enough friends of mines own one yet. Using a light to indicate what player I am is damn insult, that's Nintendo logic thinking most 30 something gamers don't know the difference between the Wii and Wii U when in fact the average gamer is in his late 30s.
Nintendo will do just fine, but Iwata needs to go, his stagnate and unimaginative vision has hurt Nintendo this generation. The Wii U will probably be Nintendo 2nd biggest blunder right after the Virtual Boy.
Turn the damn thing off if no camera is installed, maybe I can gain 25 percent more battery life. DS4 from my play experience is not a good controller besides the firm grip. I'll take the DS3 any day of the week, at least I can get a full day out of it.
@ deadly fire
The ram is fairly low but the way Nintendo games are designed 4GB would be plenty. 2016 launch is definitely not out of the question, I think the first Xbox was only on the market from 2001-2005 before the X360.
Regarding the Adreno GPU, the division that makes this processor use to belong to ATI/AMD before being sold to QC. The CPU makes sense, besides I like the RISC architect better for gaming than X86/64!
Looks like my prediction for 2015 new system announced or released by Nintendo will come true. But you know what all the fanboys are going to say? We have the most powerful system, 2.5K/4K gaming, Nintendo messed up with the Wii U, they won't make that same mistake twice. At 4.6 TFLOPS we have more power than all the current systems combined! Enjoy gaming @30FPS 1080P, we can do 1080P at 60hz minimal.
It would be nice to see the Mario series with Ray Tracing graphics! If ...
Mines downloaded without me knowing. I saw this post checked DR3 and it was ready for install. I think it only added a little over 1 gig to my game install. I did notice this game is now doing some type of temporal AA. Moving the camera in certain angles I'm seeing that blur Halo Reach had from its AA technique.
Any who trollers must be bored if a damn DLC and patch update is getting this much attention. I mean can anybody be surprise patches and DLC content are coming i...
MS had to come out swinging, outstanding software can overcome weaker hardware. Sony did it with the PS2, and Nintendo did it with the Wii. Biggest thing Microsoft need to do is get the XB1 price down to around $299 within the next 18 months.
Bill Compton, I mean Phil Spencer should have had Don Mattrick job during development if XB1.
Nintendo! Please for the love of gamers put the Wii U out of its misery. You guys did it with the VB and have been on a roll until the Wii U. For your next gen system put some graphical might, create new franchises, and bring in new faces in upper management. Sony did it after the PS3 launched, MS did after their disastrous E3 presentation.
Not yet for me, too many things to complain about, but with Sony great 1st party software and decent hardware I"m sure it will pay off in the long haul like the PS3.
