The key is that Sony advertises it properly in key areas so it doesn't remain a "secret".
When we are talking holiday season sales the average holiday shopper has to be made aware of such features by advertisements because that is often the extent of their research.
Either way there should be a sales boost specifically caused by this great feature imo.
Yeah I know why the debate is going on and I'm glad people come on here and try to set things straight with logic and facts(sometimes). A balance has to be restored and maintained.
You can calmly refute nonsense with logic and facts, then some PC-only fanboy will just say, "crysis 3 looks better anyway" or some other nonsense that I don't care about. That's nice, maybe I'll give it a go when it's on sale for $5 US.

I'm glad PS4 is very powerful, but it bothers me a little bit to see other PS fans falling too far into this graphics vs graphics paradigm.
The main reason I'm happy about the upcoming hardware is because there will be mindblowing games available for it.

I was thinking about whether I would rather have my gaming laptop or my Vita, then I saw an article about Ys Celceta and quickly remembered why I should have both and also pick up a next gen console (probably PS4 for now)

It could use more support/advertising, but it is and has been getting games. It's as if people just parrot this stuff and don't even observe reality. I guess it's to be expected though.
I need to buy that and off the top of my head, Spelunky, Dragon's Crown, Mirumasa, Mercenaries, Persona, etc.
That wouldn't be my top 10, but it's an okay list, and I just got a Vita anyway.

Also, some people don't like the Steamworks DRM used in many games. The games are on sale, sure, but are not much better than PS+ freebies if you have to login/be online to play them(imo) Unless of course they are multiplayer.

When I read "contemporary shooter syndrome" some of the first things I thought of were, aim assist, the now almost ubiquitous health-regen, codism, generic, etc.
I will check out BF4 though to see if I like it as much as Bad Company.
