What is great here is that he can actually back up what he is saying.
He's the tops when it comes to saying ridiculous/annoying things.
Phones haven't even caught up with 8 year old consoles due to thermal and battery limitations.
Phones are advancing but consoles, PCs, and laptops can advance much faster because they don't have these(and other) limitations.
So the whole "mobiles are advancing fast" is not rational.
Tameem I'm sure has plenty of reasons to be looking for avenues of escape.

Therefore, "Moore's Law" is variable, and doesn't even necessarily apply in every instance. Especially considering they are already having trouble manufacturing chips smaller than about 20nm. So, it is not only variable, but at this point dependent on the introduction of revol...

Thermal limitations, along with battery, limitations etc. are the reason why tablets(for example) are still struggling to run games on par with 8 year old consoles.
From what I've read so far, more cores a at a lower clock speed can help to reduce heat.
Provided the PSU can handle it, yeah they will probably be able to run at over 1.6 Ghz if it can stay cool.
I don't think they have every been confirmed to be locked at 1.6 ghz specially anyway though.
1.8+ limit feels a bit more reasonable.

Well thought out. Some you listed bring up the question, is it the face or is it the douche factor they bring to the table in other ways? Or even by association.
