You are not a masochist if you enjoy the process of overcoming a challenge and becoming victorious. :]
I really hope they don't make future games easier just to placate those whiny babies. There should be "casual/novice" moves for them if anything.
I'm personally interested in the game BECAUSE it is supposedly challenging.
Games like Sine Mora, Spelunky, Hotline Miami, Demon's Souls, etc. are like heaven to me and I know I'm not the only one.
This looks great and the PS3 has plenty of life left in it.
Yeah, I'm kind of glad that hordes of "COD fanboy" types aren't jumping over to Shadow Fall or Mercenary. The fact that it stays just below the radar so to speak means that hordes of drones will get their kicks elsewhere.
@Majin: I have a ton of respect for GG for not having Aim assist. I play competitive games for the challenge.
@Delta: If it was called "COD Shadow Fall" it would be getting all 9s and 10s, get outta town.
They have been subtly downplaying PS4's success since before it was even launched.
I'm actually thinking of just biting the bullet and learning Japanese. I've already picked up quite a bit from Anime anyway.
You're not the only one.
Maybe they really were in a mad scramble after the PS4 announcement to come up with something. Hoping their PR department would clean everything up, which they didn't. Then they started taking preorders w/ kinect, before realizing that nobody wanted it, which was another mistake. MS have a few tricks up their sleeve but it will not be the same this gen.
Belking leaves me scratching my head.
I think this really depends on who's doing the comparison and what the criteria are. As a Vita owner and (probably) future Wii U owner, I think they can both be great.
Very good point admiralvic. There's still some underlying "darkness" in the world and interestingly, so many video games address that point SPECIFICALLY, with the idea of bringing more light to the world through overcoming some kind of obstacle. Jrpgs and Animes come to mind first, but there are many others.
Just like movies and in real life it is usually up to the individual to choose.
In general, treating things as root cases, etc. can be more of a distraction ...
Firstly, they should have been careful enough to differentiate between "anti-social" and "asocial".
Secondly there are already a host of other activities that could allow certain types of people to crawl away into a cave by themselves like TV and even books.
I think it's great for people who aren't ready to deal with their anxiety, agoraphobia, etc. to have a safe alternative like video games to unwind and at least help them feel n...
Even more interested now.
I should add that real world applications are where PS4 will really shine. A lot of people are going to be shocked, amazed, and some will be eating their words when they see how good the upcoming first party titles look.
These Second Son screen shots are JUST a preview of what's to come:

It's imo much better and less "generic" than some other shooters, yet the "other" ones get a pass.
I watched the video and all I saw was him using his USB "professional quality microphone". Not sure if battery powered or otherwise. I can't really give you a definitive answer, but I do know that most USB audio interfaces would probably require special drivers to run on PS4.
Well, if that's true and you are actually interested, I'll try to convey a few things.
You can record professional quality audio through preamps via USB. There are also USB mics with built in preamps(or powered or whatever) that can record audio with superb quality. Also, some USB mics have a hot enough signal so as to not really require a preamps and can do a pretty good job according to some people (pretty good to these people might mean really good or amazing to others). <...
It is clever though.

That is about it.
Comments like that make me want the game even more.
