I agree with you, but I think they are working to continue to improve the service. I think they've come a long way so far. They each have their advantages and disadvantages though IMO. Which is why I use PSN for some things, Steam for others, and still pick up physical copies for my collection when I can.
Even though I wanted to buy a copy of this title I got really psyched when I read "....now available"
I grabbed my Vita while I read up to "....tomorrow!"
....then let out an audible awwwwh of disappointment.
Looking forward to tomorrow though and this will give me time to figure out how to make space on my memory card.
That's a good idea. I wonder if they thought of that and if there was a reason for them going with the internal supply other than aesthetics/convenience. They must've figured it could be powerful enough as is.
If you look at the 3rd image in the PS4's second row, the vents are warmer than than most of the rest of the system. That indicates that it has an excellent venting system.
Their PS4 thermal image #7:

Much of the PS4s heat seems to be located near its' internal power supply, which is designed to be quickly vented out before affecting any delicate components.
The heat signature in that area seems to resemble the XB power brick a bit also.
Would love some info about what the systems were doing during each photo.
Really cool idea to take thermal images of both BTW :]
The minority often becomes the majority if it is something that bothers enough people.
Look how the outrage that spread after the XB DRM announcement and what it lead MS to do.
Gamers' unwillingness to go along with this crap has a lot to do with why they are being much careful about how they go about things.
Your example is sound and of course there are exceptions but there are plenty of instances where gamers have successfully "voted with their wallets"...
People can easily vote with their wallets.
Lol, then he used kotako as his source.
@nukeitall:
"An change in clock speed is highly unlikely...."
What change? Was there any official announcement that the cores were locked at 1.6 ghz anyway?
I've maintained that 1.8 Ghz+ felt more reasonable and I'll wait for an official confirmation.
Many primarily console gamers have PCs too and vise versa. I thought this was common knowledge by now.
Their next game will make this look like Uncharted 2 VS Uncharted 1, as beautiful as Shadow Fall may be.
I was going to mention that sites trying to prove something usually pick and choose what footage they use.
Of course it's also funny that we continue to see sites using youtube footage for high resolution comparisons.
What legitimate reason would Sony fans have to be butthurt?
I might try this game before I buy it just to make sure the series isn't turning into a "casual" nubfest.
PS4 looks great but I don't feel bad for people who aren't happy with the PS3 release.
Yes, to us it is because we know what great technology it is.
The magic price point to move lots hardware is around $500 or so. Hopefully they will find a way to make a profit at that price point.
No way. I have like ten other devices that can play video anyway.
I have no interest/need for any "smart TV" features myself, but this might be a good example of why it was smart for Sony not to aim their console at the "casual market".
" Daav from NoobFeed is pretty sure that you also heard about this thing called Pornhub."
Nope. My PS4 will be used mainly for games just like my PS3.
Yes but consider this, "teh cloud".
4x power when connected to the internet.
Who could have asked for a better solution to somewhat gimped hardware.
Knowing that if you are connected to the internet at all times you will not have to sacrifice anything, anymore, ever.
Imagine how easy it will be to code games in imagination land with the cloud powah at your fingertips.
Lol
