Seems ridiculous to say Sony doesn't take something serious they have dumped a ton of money into.
No one in their right mind would expect that. Lets try to keep games in their proper place.
All I expect is to be able to play my X1 X360, 3rd party games better than I can now, enhanced, and if the Scorpio delivers that, I will be happy as can be. I mistly play 3rd party games so I don't need exclusives, per say as long as the games that do get released makes some use of the hardware. I keep games simple. That is all I ask.
$499, I would even stretch my limit to $550, but no more then that for my pockets.
MS will continue to do what is best for their company. No matter what happens to the Xbox brand they will be fine, financially.
I am looking forward to the Scorpio. I don't get the backlash. Many have been whining since this gen started about the consoles not being powerful and MS gives us a console that has at minimum 4-5 times the GPU power of the X1 and many are still hatin on them, yet when this gen started all many could talk about were graphics this or that, no...
I play more third party games then first party so the Scorpio should be fine, and the improvements the console will enable from BC and current X1 games, I got too much to play.
I got hundreds of 360 games so the more they put on BC, saves, DLC intact, no extra cost, enhanced with the X1 X1S, even further enhancement with the Scorpio, in the future, I am happy as a fiddle, as great games never get old to this gamer. I hope the Ninja Gaiden, Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon games get added. Love BC.
Lets not get it twisted, many of us own all the consoles so we all got new games to play, hell, there are many good third party games to play on both platfor...
I don't care what the name is as long as it is Xbox something.
All I know is they over delivered as far as what I was expecting so I can't wait to preorder.
...
Why are they making it? Well, hopefully, for console only gamers like me who game on all the consoles but the Xbox platform has always been my platform of choice, 3 generations. Very happy with the Scorpio's news.
I paid $499 for the launch model, $399 for the 1S, so I am fine with $499. Xbox4life
The haters are amazing. They just hate anything MS or Xbox. As a console only multiconsole only owner, not interested in pc gaming at all, I am excited for the Scorpio. The fanboys have been telling us the X1 was not powerful enough, and now MS gives us 4x plus, the GPU processing compared to the X1 and 1S, and they still hate. They can keep hating cause the rest of us are excited as hell for the Scorpio.
I wanted PS4 Pro or better specs and I would have been happy, and since I have more X1 X360 games than PS4 PS3, Xbox gets the most use in my home as it has been for 3 generations, so I am happy.
Not sure about a sting but if it delivers my Xbox games better than my X1S then I will be happy.
Very excited
I don't see anything about the Switch MS should be concerned about. It is a portable that docks, and seems geared for a different market. Someone said there are 80 games in development with 60 scheduled for release this year for the Switch. Are you kidding me? Given Nintendo's history I guarantee you there will not be 60 Switch games released this year. Hell, 60 games seems like a lot for all three platforms combined not including the phone or indie games. I am talking good games...
I like Mario 64, and the Mario games on the Super Nes, but have not liked them since, so no at this stage, not a Mario fan.
Besides, Zelda, which I decided to get on the Wiiu instead of buying the portable, I saw nothing for my tastes scheduled for it this year.
So excited. $499 or less which is what I paid for the launch X1, $399 for the X1S, so $499 or less, and I will be happy.
What is there to explain? It is simple, they are in business to make money. This stuff costs.
