I am of the belief that devs should get their games on as many platforms as possible. The X1 PS4 are so close graphics wise, resolution aside, I say put the games on as many platforms as possible.

Well, lets be real, the Scorpio is not what the X1 woulda or shoulda been. MS is clearly going for something different than when the designed the X1. I don't see the Scorpio being possible back in 2012-13.
Simple answer is no as far as I am concerned. The Scorpio to me is a journey, MS's progression from the X1 to the X1S and now to the Scorpio. They have taken what they have learned this gen and the Scorpio is the result, and I applaud them.

Should I make the upgrade? Hell yeah, been team Xbox since 2001. Why would I not upgrade if the Scorpio allows me to enjoy my X360 BC games enhanced, enjoy my X1 and X1s games enhanced, enjoy my 3rd party games enhanced. It is a no brainer. I am playing the Bulletstorm remaster, and like mostly all the remasters and ports we have seen on the X1 PS4, they have not only bumped up the resolution, but the games visuals are so much cleaner. Looking at the specs of the Switch lets be real, there is only so much they can do with the ports. Are Nintendo fans really looking for graphics overhauls on the Switch?
The Switch is a portable that docks, so the simple answer is no. As a console it has even less power than the original X1, and given what Sony has done with the Pro and the specs on the Scorpio, it should be clear to anyone by now, Nintendo is going for something totally different than Sony and Microsoft.

MS has corrected that now it is not about the graphics from from the haters. Now they have moved the goal post to exclusives, and it is hilarious to see how the narrative has changed for them. You can enjoy what all the consoles bring to the table without bashing one over the other.
If the Scorpio plays my current and new 3rd party games improved over my X1S, if it plays my exclusive X1 games better than my X1S, if it plays my x360 BC games better than my X1S, and 360, it will have plenty of teeth as my tastes go. I agree, I have loved the remasters especially games like Uncharted, Gears, Bioshock. I don't look at them as a plague. Who would use such terms when talking about videogames, nor do I look at them as taking away from new games. I am hoping the Ninja Gaiden and Splinter Cell series gets a 1080p remaster.
I was thinking it wad strategic. Discontinue the Nes Classic, and if gamers want to play Nes games, get them to buy the Switch and buy the games in the virual console.
They just released the Pro, there is no reason for a pS5.
I love my Vita but it died when Sony stopped making games like Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2, Uncharted, Resistance games for it. Not into RPGs or phone or Indie stuff, so based on the author's thought process of this article, my Dreamcast is not dead either since I have many great games for it, lol...
