I seriously doubt anyone is looking at a $500 plus, possibly, console to be a savior for MS. Their fortune doesn't rely on the Xbox as a platform.
Well, the Switch is doing well, but they started this gen with the Wiiu
I agree there is no reason for Sony to undercut the PS4.
Never left, but will the console bring back those who left, probably not.
I still play my Dreamcast. I actually liked it better than the PS2.
Thank you very much. These are among my favorite games Just release all the Splinter Cell games already.
MS knows how to run their company, so I will leave it to them to focus on what they deem is in their best interests.
Seems MS did both. It takes time to make games, and many complained about the X1 not being powerful enough, so MS gives devs atleast 4x the graphical power and some are still complaining about there are no games. It is almost June and I bought 1 exclusive for the the PS4 Pro, and only see 1 more Sony exclusive this year I am looking forward to this year so not sure why MS is getting the exclusive games hate. MS just need to continue what they are doing. Haters going to hate no matter what....
I agree with you to a point, as I don't see MS taking $150 plus losses per console, just to hit the $399 price. Live subscriptions are not making that up.
Of course the console will not be priced at $700, but $399 is a pipe dream to me. I am thinking $550-499.
If it costs $30k to make a car they are not going to sell it for $15k. If the Scorpio costs $550-600 to make it is not going to retail for $399. Some of you might as well come off of this $399 is the price because the Pro is that price argument.
The Scorpio is not for everyone, as they offer the X1S as a lower cost option for those who don't want to pay for the benefits of their new machine. I am personally looking forward to the benefits it will allow for my 360, X1...
I really don't know or care what price alienates gamers, as lets be real no one knows really, but I plan to pay no more than $550, hoping for $499, $399 just isn't a realistic number to me, given the tech, regardless of what Sony is selling the Pro for.
Microsoft is not in the business of just losing money, and their company is not dependent on the Xbox brand like Playstation is to Sony, so whatever happens MS is setting themselves up so if the X brand does tank th...
I may be wrong but would it not have been easier to have just put the hdmi out on the switch itself and do away with the dock all together? Other than battery being affected what is the dock really needed for? It must help in processing since it outputs at higher res than portable mode.
If it aint right, don't rush it. Fine by me..
To be fair the PSP sold like 80 million. That is pretty impressive for anyone not named Nintendo. It was the Vita that tanked, and seeing how Sony pulled support for the system other than the Indie, and phone style games which I don't like I would not buy another Sony handheld.
After what Sony pulled with the Vita I would never buy another handheld from them.
Not sure what Halolens in Minecraft has to do with how VR is doing on the PS4, but okay, I see what you are doing, and I want no part of it. My point was you simply don't here much about it anymore, so I doubt MS is banking on VR. These opinion piece articles are garbage. The author has no idea what MS has planned.
How is VR doing on the PS4?
It is a new system, should it not sell more than the older other consoles? It is a portable, which do well for Nintendo, so I would think it would sell well at the launch window.
I am buying the Scorpio. If it plays my X360, X1, X1S, 3rd party games better than current consoles then I say the Scorpio will be more than worth it to me.
I find the Sony and the gaming guys hilarious with this Xbox doesn't have any exclusives. In my collection I am playing more Xbox exclusives than PS4, and looking over the Sony exclusives for the rest of the year, there are 2 PS4 exclusives I have any interest in, so I don't see all these Sony exclusives man...
MS releases consoles in November
