That is still not a deal
If you are expecting Nintendo to make some powerhouse console given what we have seen the last few gens plus they probably want to keep the price down, I don't think the NX will be 2x more powerful than the PS4. Your expectations may be set to high.
My take is this. The Neo is coming, the NX is coming, of course MS is working on an upgraded X1. It is a no brainer.

It is my favorite console ever. As far as RROD, I had to replace more PS3S for overheating than 360s, so the RROD, yes we all agree should not have happened but MS fixed the issue. I have had 0 issues out of my 360 S model since day 1. PS3 for me was used as my Blu Ray player, and a few Sony exclusives like Uncharted, and everything else was bought on the 360, especially if it was online.
I love both TLOU and U, really can't compare the two. Different pace, style, artistry of games. Playing through the U collection right now. Great games.
No worries here. Sony will give those an option to upgrade their PS4s who want to, if you don't then keep playing your PS4 as you always have what is there to worry about? I am looking forward to console revisions from MS and Sony. Given Sony's run away success they have their is literally nothing they can do to screw that up, so no matter what happens the Sony faithful will get onboard.
To say the selection is questionable is ridiculous, as devs have to approve whether or not their games go on bc not MS, and as soon as do they are added.
Has been a worst purchase for me. I bought my daughter one as she loved the Nintendo games before, and I bought her every exclusive, and last year she asked for an Xbox and she said she wanted to play different games and play online. She hasn't played it since.
Definitely my favorite console ever is the 360, and I own and have owned ever console since the Atari 2600. PS3 was mainly used as a Blu Ray player, and a few Sony exclusives, but everything else, especially if the game was online was bought on the 360. Prefer the X1 to the PS4, so if MS releases an upgraded X1, I am buying. I would not buy a slim just to have a slimmer console, as the X1 size I am fine with, but I certainly would buy one with updated specs. Interesting, many keep blaming MS for things they did not do, or quickly changed. This article is bull÷×+=. Of course there is demand. We see it with each game release, whether that be devs trying to hit 1080p, or gamers whining over graphics. XBOX4LIFE!!!
Nintendo lost me with the Wii, and I generally am a Playstation Xbox gamer, but I am interested to see what Nintendo comes up next.
Or it could be as simple as the console just will not be ready for holiday 2016. I would rather them not rush. Nintendo knows how to run their business. I leave that to them. Gamers always overreact.
Got both consoles, got the PS4 for its exclusives, but I play everything else on the X1, and prefer its setup to the PS4s, so MS just needs to continue doing what they have been doing. Gamers overreact to everything. I am fine with the current PS4, so that is good enough for my tastes, no matter what Sony does in the near future.
I care, it is in my Gamefly Q, but let's be honest, it is up against some heavy hitters when it releases, so of course gamers will sleep on the lesser known title.

Sony will be fine no matter what. The PS4 is a runaway success with little competition. This is what you Sony fans wanted, so Sony can do about anything right now and fans will be onboard. The Neo is happening. Personally, the Neo is a great move that should extend the life of the PS4. MS needs to follow suit and break the bank on the X1.5, tech wise they could make it either on par with the Neo or better and also extend the life of the X1.
