Just checked both of my Series Xs, both are in the skip ahead Insider Program, as they both updated but all my settings were fine. Your settings should be backed up so even if your console is reset all your gamesaves and your console settings should be attached to your GT and login and backed up.
Love the Gears Series so definitely buying for the Pro. Great job Microsoft. Getting the games in more gamers hands is good. If the games will run on the Switch 2, show Nintendo some software love also.
Microsoft opening up their games to more gamers I thought was the goal, which to me is a great thing. More games in more gamers hands is great for all gamers. Seems like a win win win to me. They already are not selling that many consoles, so MS is making the next step which to me would end the toxic single platform fanboy exclusive mindset that many gamers seems to have, which is really not sustainable for studios we have found which has also lead to such slow releases this gen, so to me...
Great news.
I agree, I mean I am still playing the Fear games via Xbox back compat and this news saddens me.
I agree with you 100%
Love mine, but $700 plus is alot for many to swallow in this ecocomy, esoecially when the base console is good enough for many, so no surprise.
Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Killzone, Resistance.
Duh. If the games are going to other platforms then it should have the Nintendo, PS and PC logos onscreen. Who is surprised by this? I mean the Everything is an Xbox campaign told everyone this would be happening.
I don't think Sony is coasting, but game development, time and budgets have spiraled which is why it takes so long now to get games released and now cost much more $$ to make the games, and given this gen started with Covid, and supply chain issues, chip shortages, inflation, I think it is more these issues that has contributed to how things have played out more than Sony coasting.
Console wars are only in gamers minds.
What is the problem? That is a good thing. Getting more games in more gamers hands is good. Multiplatform gamer for the win. Console wars are so toxic and really only a small percent of gamers actually think this way. I enjoy and support all consoles.
To be fair, Microsoft as a company is going to be fine no matter what they do with the Xbox brand. They now have in place platforms to get their games out and not have to worry about selling few consoles which they already take a loss on each unit sold, so they should just rip off the bandaid and move forward.
I am not surprised. MS knows how many consoles they have sold. It is one of the reasons why the games are going to every platform with a screen and internet connection.
If this is true, who is really surprised? Microsoft is doing right to put the games on any platform and retire the Xbox as we know it.
I have 2 Series Xs to play all my current and back compat titles, and I also own every Xbox, so I am fine with whatever MS does with the Xbox console...
If you are not going to do 4 then at least remaster or remake 1 2 3.
Awesome, get the games in as many gamers hands as possible is best for all gamers.
I mean, is this really a surprise?
I have not bought it as my portable already remote plays my Xbox, Playstation and houses all of my arcade, and retro games.
Why not just leave them there in the first place. I love the PS1 bootup screen. Some have said they are working on the legacy themes without 30th Anniversary so I am fine with that.
Phil is not in charge of the updates.
