Yeah, a win-win for everyone, not just a single brand (which is what you seem to be eluding to). They didn't have to be Sony exclusive to ruffle feathers, otherwise, Phil wouldn't have commented in the first place.
Um, too many generalizations to take this seriously. "PS fans don't know how good Bungie is". How would you know that? This is a business. Go read up on just WHY Bungie wanted to create their own stuff, free of Halo. Has nothing to do with Sony, PlayStation, or any of its fans.
The fact that it bothered you means you take the console "warz" personally.
Your opinion is your opinion, but I think the franchise has spoken for itself. If you think Uncharted has had no impact and influence on modern cinematic titles, you've been living under a rock.
A lot of things "seem" unlikely. Doesn't mean this guy won't get approved again.
The dude just posted some of the most influential games of our time. If anything, he's just what I've been saying is wrong with some in the industry - the feeling that he's entitled to something.
In the future, I'll make sure not to take many of his articles serious.
Do some of you actually read what you typed before clicking "submit"? The Last Of Us, a single-player/multiplayer title, is just an "interactive story"? Deary me...
OT: 60fps confirmed now for both modes! Fantastic!
Not really. It's still 25k behind it. It caught them up, for now, in the US, but elsewhere has had no impact at all.
I can only assume that people didn't truly take it as a "price cut". It's more of a removal of the Kinect (the one major thing that helped differentiate it from the PS4).
Yes, because Naughty Dog has a history of: "all talk an no show". /s Some of you people need new material, the "no-show" talk has worn thin.
OT: Hyping it up like crazy! It's like the game is releasing for the first time all over again!
Except that neither him nor Jaffe were EVER "one trick ponies". Your post even contradicts itself in regards to that.
OT: I never new Cliff was in retirement.
You don't have to be a "fanboy" to know what a studio is known for. Being that The Last Of Us is the most awarded game in history, it's totally understandable why people are not worried about a Remastered (yes, that's a BETTER version) Edition.
Um, if you already pre-ordered it, why do you need to see it? That should have been the other way around. Pre-ordering early sounds like you knew exactly what you were getting.
OT: Just 29 days. Can't wait!
As a PC gamer, the platform is still missing many of the exclusives that help the consoles stand out. That's why I enjoy the best from both worlds and THAT'S, for certain, the best experience!
Um, it has no predecessors. Beyond that, "hype" may have dwindled, for some, but not for others.....many others (myself included). Always annoys me when people think they speak for everyone. If you no longer want the game - simple solution, don't buy it.
Quite frankly, I don't care if I've already shot at monsters in other games (if similarities are TRULY an issue, then you shouldn't be playing practically anything today). Not everything has to innov...
They aren't abandoning it because they have a history of supporting their consoles for the long term. Making profit on the PS3 is just part of what comes from that.
How would you know what can easily be done? Unless you worked on the game, you don't know what's gone into it.
Besides, you insinuated that, as a cinematic game, 60fps should be the norm (meaning they all should run like that). I'm telling you that they are MANY types of cinematic games, and without knowing everything that goes into making them, you can't know what fps they should all run at.
1. There was never any mention of an Aug release date.
2. There's too much hype for a game with a known history? I think otherwise.
3. Nothing embarrassing about bundling it, either. Many people didn't get to play it on PS3. The bundle makes perfect sense.
Um, there are many kinds of cinematic games. No, they don't all have to be 60fps - (the notion actually makes no sense at all).
I hear this thrown out a lot, but quite a bit of the Remasters have seen upgrades the last gen machines couldn't hope to achieve.
In essence, it's no longer just a "last gen game".
Errr...1080p was the first thing they confirmed about the game, or have you not been keeping up?
In Japan, it's a complete exclusive. No matter how you try to minimize this, it would be understandable for anyone in the Xbox camp to feel a little betrayed (I'm talking the company, not its fanatics).
As I said above, it wouldn't have needed elaboration if the thought hadn't crossed SOMEBODY'S mind within the company.
