Your opinion makes no mathematical sense, though. The WiiU would have to nearly triple its current baseline to have a standing chance with first place. How do you expect that to happen?
Good, then I'm sure the two of you shared these sentiments last gen with the PS3, right? Point - it happens to the "loser". As long as you spend time on the net, your "I'm sick of it" posts are useless.
Parity has nothing to do with hardware strengths. In fact, it is WHY the "parity clause" exists in the first place, to put the system(s) on equal footing, regardless of technical superiority.
Why even mention any of those games? Never mind that it's nothing like either The Crew or DRIVECLUB. Just be happy that you can play it soon.
OT: Been in the Alphas and Beta now for almost 2 years. Can't wait for the full release to kick in!
And it doesn't have to be.
OT: It will be remembered as one of the decade's most memorable and moving experiences, changing how we view cinematic games and how they're approached!
Um, it is a FACT that the PS4 is the more powerful console. It's measurable, not opinionated. No one was lied to, mislead, redirected to false-hood.
Also, console parity has nothing to do with system power. In fact, it just means the dev won't tailor the game to anyone's strengths - a practice I hate, given I grew up with the NES, SNES, and Genesis.
No, they've lied about other things, though, and lost plenty of market-share to it. No corporation is perfect. Happens all around (although the suit on Sony will go no where).
OT: I'm expecting nothing but greatness because it is Remedy. I loved Alan Wake, and what I've seen of this gives me that feeling I got when I started seeing titles like that crop up last gen!
Oh they will. It's the wishful thinkers that jump on the bandwagon that expect some kind of "restitution" for this guy.
It's just a lack of understanding to how these things work.
I'd say point it out - but you seem to be, how do I put it, out of.....bah. I'll be nice. :)
OT: Won't fly, but people will try anything these days. Time to read the EULA, good sir.
Edit: You can wait on an explanation, but you won't be able to respond. Thus, it will be useless to reply. :P
Your wording is pretty confusing. When someone says "X" is almost tied with "y", the former is generally catching up, not ahead already.
OT: It did until it passed the 360 WW. For me, I enjoyed both machines nearly equally, very different from this gen, where the PS4 has all of my attention aside from PC.
The PS4 isn't having any trouble competing at is current price point (made obvious by the lack of any real threat from the X1 in NPD or otherwise).
It'r probably just a simple retailer discount.
Just stop. There's a reason you lack bubbles.
OT: Another one of THESE articles, eh? The simple solution to these types of things is to not buy them. Everybody who wants it will buy. These articles will have no impact on that.
And yet, you won't be able to provide any reasoning behind your claims because: A. it's 100% false, and B. you're, thankfully, out of bubbles.
OT: Spells positive news for this gen's dev times!
@ Imalwaysright: Why mention the "barren" situation of the PS4 if he WASN'T comparing it to anything else? Barren compared to what PC? Mobile? The PS3? Right. Makes no sense. He was making a comparison to current gen machines (solidified by his follow-up post). Had he said something similar to what you did in your second paragraph, I wouldn't have said anything.
Ultimately, I was looking for clarity. Seems you missed that (as did he - since there's no re...
Yep, I did mention the WiiU. I guess you can't see beyond your own thoughts, which is cool. Just don't expect to be taken serious when you compare three consoles and single out one of them, state it as fact, and then get defensive when you're called out on it. ;)
Criticize who/what you want. No worries there. The lack of consistency is where your problem lies. Thus, I ask again, if things are barren on the Sony platform, how exactly, beyond your own thoughts, are ...
If they're barren on the PS4, wouldn't they also be barren on the WiiU and X1 as well - given neither machine's exclusive Fall line-up trumps the PS4's by any noteworthy amount?
Indded. DRIVECLUB, inFAMOUS: Second Son, LittleBigPlanet 3, and many, MANY others will not (and have not) released in 2014. /s
How you're still here - I just don't get it.
OT: Yep, doubt anything will top 94/95-ish this year.
I have noticed it, which is why I tend to ignore them. Continuous redundancy with little to nothing that truly aids the idea. "Is the Uncharted series dead"? Um.....based on what? Why would such a question need to be asked?
That said, the author seems like a reasonable guy - thus, would probably warrant a good discussion.
It has absolutely nothing to do with that at all. Someone obviously didn't read the article.
OT: Always admire their modesty.
The race for 1st place has been won. The PS4 is this gen's permanent market leader. It just is.
The fun comes from talking about 2nd place - WiiU vs XB1. Right now, I think it's anyone's game there, but the X1 has a little more wiggle room for system sellers and price drops.
