Agreed, but that's still besides the point of Tomb Raider's exclusivity. If it's not helping anything, it doesn't apply to the point.
Not that I disagree with exclusives being helpful, but how does Tomb Raider's exclusivity help anything?
@ jetlian: You should ask the same question of the original poster. Again, consistency. Who said these things? In my case, plenty of folks. It happens. Let's not pretend only "a certain fanbase" behaves like that,
And your opinion of those games is irrelevant. Has nothing to do with the point.
I also remember some Xbox fans saying exclusives should go multiplatform because: "everyone should have a chance to play it" (see MGS4, FFXIII, Tekken 6, etc, etc.....).
Hypocrites indeed. Goes both ways.
Agreed. Why would I want more games - crazy right?
OT: I always like the latter shows (post E3). Gamescom and TGS always seem to be more about content than hardware, so this one should be great! So much they haven't even shown the JP audience yet!
I agree with all but Amnesia. VERY scary game.
I'd prefer it be delayed if it means the game would benfit from it. Fortunately, no such thing has even been mentioned, so there's nothing to worry about.
Graphically, Last Light is a mixed bag on PC? WHAT? Definitely not.
OT: Kudos to PS4, and kudos to 4A for a technically sound Remaster.
Generally, these people (trolls) are better ignored and bubbled down than to even waste the energy on. It's simple - make up an entirely false story, sit back and watch the flames, rinse and repeat. I DO like that this site offers a bubble down feature, so eventually, such nonsense can't go beyond one post.
OT: Can't wait for this game! I was a veteran of the original, so this is just icing!
Er, what would you call a "disappointment", a success? Not that it WAS a disappointment, but today's journalists are very much like many of today's gamers - entitled individuals who whine more than they cheer they very hobby wee all share.
Um, this is SOE's game, so it coming to the PlayStation isn't surprising. It was always rumored to. Not sure what you're on about.
Without Sony, you wouldn't be able to play the game at all.
What leads you to believe QB is a timed exclusive? It's never even been hinted as such. Here's the kicker, too - it's Microsoft's IP.
Next, people's friends have PlayStations. OK? I want to play those three titles. PlayStation will never have any of them, negating your entire point.
Team Silent is what made those games so great. We have no clue what how Silent Hills will turn out, but it's certainly unfair to make any claims about what will be "ruined" this early in it's development.
Edit: You need to do a better job of conveying sarcasm. ;)
Yet, it states that Konami is co-publishing (true). It also has the name of the game now, too (wasn't there before).
For everything that doesn't make sense, something does.
Just realizing that Sony's publishing this.

It HAS to be exclusive, then!
What racing game does weather better than that?
Agree wholeheartedly!
Haven't seen a more deluded post in a long time!
OT: The Last Of Us was #1 too! Nice!
Three times now you've tried to tell people that, because YOU had no problems on PC, that the problems can't possibly exist to the degree stated. You can't, and don't, know that.
OT: Well, after the last few burns Ubi, I'm hoping there's more to this than just the words spoken.
Oh, how I remember an entirely different sentiment when many 3rd party PlayStation exclusives were suddenly going multiplatform. It was: "everyone should get to play the game" and: "it's too expensive keeping 3rd party games exclusive."
Now, they're: "good for the industry". How quickly opinions change when a different party is involved.
My bottom line - I don't mind 3rd party exclusives, just not of a franchise tha...
