Nope, but Quantum Break, Halo 5, and Gears of War 4 will!
Sorry, "true gamers" don't have to have an Xbox at all. In fact, they don't have to own any specific gaming machine. That's just nonsense talk.
OT: I'm sure with the amount of money Square received, business worked for them. Whether this helps their IP, on the other hand, remains to be seen.
Thankfully, this game looks to have all of the above, including quality.
OT: I don't care how many endings it has, I just want to play this bad boy! Have been following it since the PS3 version was announced, and after the update, it looks MILES better than before!
@ Feralkitsune : Well, our single opinions on the game are irrelevant. 3 million people bought it, so yes it sold great!
Um, Bloodborne is a Sony IP, not a 3rd party game. Just seems like you came in here to find SOMETHING wrong with Sony... The one "lying to themselves" is you.
OT: As the gap grows, I expect more exclusives from 3rd parties (be it Indie or otherwise).
This is what's wrong with moves like this, it makes some journalists/gamers crazy. Yes, the timed exclusivity of a game that is known to do better on PlayStation is going to erase a 5 million+ sales deficit. /s
Good grief...
Whew, for a minute there I thought they were going to say the PlayStation 4 was the best place to play this Holiday.
Yeah, that's what some said about Heavy Rain. It was "too niche".
For Souls fans (the one's the Xbox/PC gained), I can see it selling its share of units to many of them. Definitely!
They said it's coming to PS4 first. They haven't denied/admitted to an X1 version, but it's a definite timed exclusive to PS4.
OT: Can't wait to see more of this!
Your bottom line is that: "the competition isn't classy". I'm telling you that for everyone who has shown a disdain (Greenburg/House), there's someone ELSE who's been respectable (Spencer/Yoshida).
When you take a step out of your own shell, you see the world in a different light.
So Aaron Greenburg has never said anything bad about Sony? OK. I'd advise a little more consistency and duck our head out of those clouds.
OT: Phil is one of the best things that could have happened to Xbox. Hopefully, all things pay off in the end!
I vividly remember you telling people that Amazon wasn't a good measure for success. Suddenly that's out the window now? Good grief...
OT: The Xbox won't win this generation (market-share), but I admire his enthusiasm. Can't knock competition.
Ultimately, this is what matters. Too often, people get wrapped up in the "presentation's performance", that they forget about the content the presentation contained.
But hey, that's the entitled mentality of many gamers these days. For the rest of us, we're happy new stuff is coming and couldn't give a rat's behind how "bad" the presentation was.
Much wrong here. Part of the reason WHY many jumped on the PS4 is because the know the kind of games that release on a PlayStation.
He's known to troll. Wouldn't give him much thought.
OT: While VGC may not be the most reliable source, they're the best indication we have in regards to sold to consumer.
Not sad at all. Bigger market potential on console, for them.
Besides, you said you: "hope the game does well". It needs this team present to do so. :)
Not a shame at all. Numbers are a topic to be had - it's how developers make decisions about where to put their games. Many people like to see how their favorite machine is doing. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.
It remains a simple concept - if you want to talk about the quality of a game, find the right topic. Fun isn't the point of this article - making it 100% irrelevant. If you don't like that, well, stay out of topics discussing numbers.
The discussion isn't about "fun", though. It's about sales (facts). If you wanted to discuss your enjoyment of the consoles, you chose the wrong topic.
Eh, just typical behavior of today's gamers. I mentioned 3 exclusive titles, titles that SHOULD MAKE YOU WANT TO BUY A CONSOLE. What am I to do, I know that I prefer Sony, but buy any console that interests me. The X1 fits that description.
