Don't defend him, you see what happened to me there..
Guys, calm down. He didn't say anything that can be disagreed with. He just said:
"It reminds *me*.."
So you don't agree that this reminds him crysis warhead? So you think this doesn't remind him, you make me sad.
Sell more. It is also good for promoting your game. Make it free, call it advertising fee. Themes should not cost more than a 0.99, there are really cool GAMES on iphone at that price.
One extra note, PAIN sucks: stay away from it, I hate the way they are trying to nickel and dime the customers, extra characters cost 0.99, whereas they should not have costed more than 0.19. I wonder the total amount of money you'd have to shell out for PAIN if you wanted the "full" ex...
PSP mini's should not be counted..
We should all admit that it takes countless hours to produce any compelling level.. Only a minority of LBP users will use this feature, and even a smaller percentage could come up with compelling levels. It does open doors for a small select group of creative users to do some interesting colleborative work, but *after* more than a year, I'd rather they worked on other stuff..
I mean, come on, Uncharted 2 is superb, but Splinter Cell Convicton looks superb too. I am jealous I won't be able to play it, as a PS3 user. Xbox360 users are missing Uncharted too.. It works both ways, please remove your fan goggles for once.
The title is absurd.. It is crafted just for hits.. A new low in gamin journalism..
By half frames, I mean as sprud points out, the scene will have to be rendered twice from different angles, where's this extra processing power coming from? If a game is maintaining 60frames per second per s single viewpoint, can it achieve 60frames per second for both viewpoints, simply by reducing the frame rate / detail? Or do they make it so that both eyes get just 30fps..
@perfect_gamer: You can achieve 3d look on a still frame, as long as the picture is served from 2 diff...
Are the frames of the game halved? Would the 3d version of wipeout run at 30fps, for example? How will the console cope with double the amount of frame per unit time?
I really wonder..
.. the TV set should be fast enough to display *compeletely* different images in alternating order without afterglow effecting two versions of the frame. Hence you need a very, very fast set. Don't know the details of the technology but you *might* also need a blank frame between frames to reduce the afterglow. If that's the case, 120hz is out of the question even theoretically.
..is overrated. Creativity for the sake of creativity leads to bullshit art that nobody gets, except a few who pretend they get it.
Anticipation is usually for un-released games. They don't have to re-iterate that when speaking in present tense. They'd only remind the game "was" highly anticipated "before" it "was" released.
This reads as if Microsoft is speaking like this.
"Microsoft: Stop treating..." woud be correct..
My bluray died and I had to pay 150 usd to get it fixed. If you have an old ps3 but you don't play PS2 games, this is the real deal.. I'd go for it to get the quiter and cooler version of PS3..
The whole story is very fishy.. How can you validate super_secret's identity? Maybe the account is hacked? Maybe he's an industry insider outside of Sony with enough information to blurb such things, then he could be using his fame to throw sheit on EA?!
People took this like Jesus was telling them. The absolute truth..
This will go down as the biggest prank(/sabotage?) in gaming industry, if it goes on like this..
All sony would need to do would be to block the functionality when the user is playing certain games. This is *VERY* easy to do. So no, this new functionality would not break any EA game, so no, they couldn't sue. So this whole ordeal stinks, it may even be a plot by other publishers, but it may just be a 12 year old brat laughing his back off at the angered gamers.
Legal action?? As if they could win?? Drop support? Look at PS3 revenues..
How can Sony be sued if they block this feature on certain games? What would be the basis of the lawsuit?
So no, I don't believe this, it makes Sony look like pussies, which I'm sure they aren't.
The reasoning for their actions seems not to make sense (that it would make their products look inferior, and that they'd sue or drop support..) I don't believe this rumor because of this.
All sony would have to do is to block those incompatible games, patches might be done for the games or not, it doesn't matter. The rumor is very weird.
Just as they are selling PS3 at a loss, how about selling the wand for dirt cheap? If they are in for a strong software showing, they can do it. However, if it is going to be constant casual garbage, they'd want to sell it at a profit.
I want to play strategy games on PS3 and show it to my friends with PC's.
Nintendo Wii shouldn't cost more than a 149 usd. You buy one extra game and the price is the same as a Ps3 slim, this is ridiculous!
