Why would MS make LIVE free if people are still paying for it? It is like some MMOs that start out as a pay to play model and switch to free to play when they can't get people to sign up. MS has no reason to make LIVE free at this moment. They make too much money on it and it has helped keep them in the financial black. Perhaps in the future, but not now.
Sorry dude... didn't mean to put this post under you... it was meant to be a comment on the headline of the article and how it is trying to make an issue where none exists. I am no fan of Bobby Kotick. But, he was actually positive in this article and the Guardian tries to put a negative spin on it.
Your comment was not negative in the slightest and I apologize if you thought I was implying anything of the sort.
Another headline for hits... READ THE WHOLE INTERVIEW... he was extremely positive about the PSV and its place in the market:
Yes, I've played WipeOut and a few of the other titles…
It is a fantastic piece of hardware. Technically, we're super excited about what we can do on it, it's really something incredible. The question is, where is the market? I think the pricing was surprisingly affordable, the product itself is really great – so the questions is, i...
The showdown between Battlefield and MW3 was a key focus this year – is that sense of competition exciting?
"To be honest with you, I don't spend a lot of time thinking about our competition."
As the CEO of a company, he doesn't worry about the competition??? BS! He has to worry about the competition so that his company can try to keep a competitive edge. It doesn't matter what the industry (games, sports, restaurants, etc.), it is his job to ...
Ummm... the PSN had a little problem a few weeks ago. Maybe you heard about it? ;)
Here are the relevant terms:

Amazon is AWESOME... they just had the PS3 for $199 as a lightning deal the other day... sold out quick!
Is it possible that the status has changed? Maybe its a timed exclusive?
The website for the game only has a Playstation logo and PSN logo ... nothing about Xbox.

EDIT: And Gametrailers shows it as PSN only.

That is awesome! Really, really funny stuff!
Check out the other video at the end... "Cole Phelps is bipolar"... so true!!
Yeah it would... but, $100 gift card is a GREAT deal... you still need an extra controller and you can get a game... or a Move bundle.
And the bad reviews keep on coming. It's really too bad. This could have been an interesting game.
I think you missed the point.
Tomb Raider looks great, but it is a multiplatform title that doesn't take advantage of any particular system's strengths. Plus, all we've seen from Tomb Raider is pre-rendered cut scenes. The other thing about Uncharted is that the story and the cinematics are better than in many Hollywood blockbusters. I just don't see Tomb Raider having that sort of production value. It may end up being a great game, but it is not in the same league as Uncharted.
You can keep the free PS Plus content as long as you are a PS Plus member... You don't lose the stuff you downloaded after 2 weeks... The content is up on PS Plus for a few weeks and then gets rotated out, but once you download it, it is yours until your PS Plus subscription runs out.
Woo Hoo!!!! It's an iphone game ported for Kinect!!! It's great that MS is really trying to appeal to the hardcore this year!!! /s
"big corporations get hacked every single day. Only 17 percent of companies whose computers were hacked report them to law enforcement due to fear of negative publicity. Ninety percent of Fortune 500 networks have been hacked... it’s not just Sony gamers that are at risk. It’s anyone who has any online gaming console like Xbox or Wii. Nothing’s 100 percent secure."
It could have just as easily been MS getting hit.
"xbox live is about to become the target of a systematic process of intimidation and manipulation the likes of which you have never seen"
Love the Seinfeld reference! :D
Here is the operative portion of the press release:

I know the usual suspects that make theses lists. But, what about a game like MLB: The Show... I don't know how anyone gets a Platinum on that game where so many trophies are luck-based as opposed to skill based.
