My thoughts exactly. I'm pretty surprised by how good this game is looking.
Makes me very happy to own a PSP!
:D
Well, you can always buy one. They're pretty cheap for what they can do. I use my PSPs all the time, especially now I have a PS3 -- they work pretty well together.
:)
I'm sold. This'll be added to my collection as soon as it's released.
Success of the 360 may not rely on HD-DVD, but I reckon the success of HD-DVD did rely on the 360. If Microsoft had put one inside the 360, rather than as an add-on, I think things would have looked very different right now. But, they didn't, and it seems Blu-ray has been allowed to win this part of the war because of Microsoft unwillingness to build an HD player into their console.
After all, I didn't buy the PS3 as a Blu-ray player, but I do have several BDs already. How man...
Well, if I soley based my purchases from Metacritic reviews, there are many games I've seriously enjoyed that I wouldn't go near with ten-foot-long barge pole. Fortunately, I have a broader view.
As for Oblivion: I love it (indeed, I got the GOTY edition for Christmas), but the graphics are seriously bad in comparison to other PS3 games I have; and that isn't just a PS3 issue as the game is effectively the same on both platforms, once the GOTY nonsense is added (that said, peopl...
Sweet. Ta for the mini-review, I reckon I'm pretty much sold. I'll pick it up some time soon.
:)
Bubbles for that!
All this extra content is making me seriously reconsider not purchasing this game. I played the demo and was largely underwhelmed, but I've heard many good things from friends about the game, and all the new downloadables appear they will considerably extend the replay value. I was similarly enticed to buy Motorstorm -- which also has a ton of extras if you so wish -- and I've been very pleased with that purchase so far.
Anyone tried any of the new packs for Folklore yet? Are t...
An interesting split across the systems for their top 20:
13 PS3 titles, 4 exclusives
12 360 titles, 2 exclusives
8 PC titles, 2 exclusives
2 Wii titles, 1 exclusive
Nintendo are really lagging behind on the anticipation front regarding their upcoming line-up.
I felt it was a comment I felt worth adding, and that is what this section of the website is for. No matter how much some posters may try to force the issue, this isn't a site for supporters of a single system; it's a multi-platform gaming news site. As far as I can tell, this is gaming news, and I'm free to comment as I see fit within the boundaries of the site rules.
I've almost bought an XBox on several occassions, as many of my friends and family own one, but Microsoft's c...
Small world, huh?
I hope your daughter loves it as much as I know mine will. My eldest is only 3, and she's already a big gaming fan. That said, there currently aren't many games we can play together (Lego Star Wars co-op is one of her faves, as is Super Stardust -- although she is rubbish at the second), so most of her fun is based around Eye games and solo-stuff.
Much like you, I'm super-hyped for LBP.
:)
Heh! My daughter is going to adore LBP (which is code for: I want it now!).
Nice.
It's going to be quite along wait before the eventual release date.
I'm not a huge FPS fan, but the modding possibilities are slowly converting me to buying UT3 when it hits the UK. So far, for those with the game, do you think there is even one mod that is noteworthy yet? Or is the whole modding-for-console thing going to be a bit of a long-term project that doesn't bear really good fruits until a few months, or maybe even a year, down the line?
Well, I'll be picking this one up when it's released, and its quite nice that the PS3 seems to be getting a little extra loving. I wonder if those extra PCs will eventually be downloadable to play for XBox users?
Well, I wouldn't buy into such a product, but I'm sure many will. From an external perspective, it really looks like Microsoft is milking every dollar it can out of its users, something I would feel pretty resentful of if I were involved.
I've found the remote play capabilities to be very handy. Being able to access all my PS3 and PC files from anywhere in the world is just so damn cool when travelling, especially as I can access all my photo library to show family and friends, and access all my music and movies to listen to or watch. That said, I still under-use the feature, and intend to experiment with it a little more this year.
:)
Hmm, this one was looking kinda tasty, but some of the previews were less than inspiring; let's hope things have improved. I'll be waiting for the reviews and demo before I make any decisions for this, I think.
I can't really compare the PS cameras as I've only had the current Eye; but, for what it's worth, I think it rocks. I use it for a bunch of games, and even for filming, and it does admirably.
As for Singstar songs: well, there is more on Singstore, so the number of songs in the original pack is somewhat moot. We've already downloaded 6 of them, and it seems very likely we will download more later; my wife is loving it.
And you and I appear to be in the same boat ...
It appears it may only be available in the UK store at the mo'.
It looks like 2008 is going to be a pretty expensive year for me. The end of 2007 has already hit my wallet hard, but I pretty much want every game listed there and a few more besides, so it will soon be hit harder. Ah well, I suppose this is what I got the PS3 for: the cool games.
:)
Well, that seems a really minor thing to me: So, there is one character on another system that I can't play? Like, whatever. I reckon I'll be happy with the many I can play, and the awesome game, rather than bemoan a single character I can't access. That certainly isn't the sort of thing that would stop me buying a game.
And I'm sure the loss of your one sale when compared to the many sales the Star Wars stunt will draw concerns Namco very little.
But, each to th...
