Hmm, I wonder if this will end up like the Empire magazine review of Assassin's Creed? Everyone lambasted the review and called Empire magazine a whole host of nasty names, and were eventually forced to eat their words when all their criticisms were well-founded. That said, this site isn't exactly a reliable source. At all. In any way.
We'll all know soon, huh?
Actually, I agree with you 100%. This was something I noticed as well. An utterly minor thing, but on a product as slick as GT5:P, it stood out like a sore thumb to me.
Plus, I'm stuck on one of the races, so I feel like whinging a little.
;)
That said, the comparion pics favour GT5:P to such an extent that I'm actually surprised. Doesn't stop me whining about the small things though.
;)
Awesome.
:D
Did you read his post?
His belief is that GT5 (not GT5:P) will be huge when released. He believes that there will be about 20 million PS3s sold by that (as yet unconfirmed, afaik) date. This seems consistent with the generally assumed number of about 11 million+ PS3s out there at the moment.
He didn't claim 20 million were sold now.
So, no, he didn't have the wrong numbers; although it appears that you may.
Fascinating read.
Yup, me too. My wife and daughter love the game (and the sequal) as well, so it'll be a first day buy for us.
:)
Much of the article is a bit silly as it suggests persecution of low-paid people that have nothing to do with Microsoft's decisions to build a machine with such high hardware failures; that said, packing the RRoD XBox in a PS3 or Wii box when sending it back did make me laugh. Pointless: yes; but still a little funny.
Anyway, I can't see anything good coming of this story, so I won't approve it; although I'm sure others may.
Yeah, I can't help myself, I'm a writer by profession (and an artist), so when I think a person may have used a word incorrectly, and I'm unsure if they know it, I like to make sure. Sorry you found it offensive.
Mirroring that, I'd prefer not to be called a 'nazi', just because I know what words mean. Perhaps I should burn some books as well, just to make you correct?
Insulting others won't help you promote the cause you seem eager to support.
That's only the 360 numbers. Do you have links for the others?
And, if I remember correctly, wasn't Super Mario Galaxy the best game of the year according to Metacritic?
Have you a source for those figues? as some seem pretty far out according to the various sites I've visited on the internet.
I'm not sure if your trying to be clever, or if you simply made a mistake with what you wrote.
Are you trying to say the 360 will be dead by the end of 2008? Because that's what you just said, and it seems, judging by your other posts, that isn't what you intended.
'Ultimate' means last. 'Encore' means, loosely, a repeat of something that went before. So if 2008 is the ultimate encore year for the 360, that means it won't be coming back for any more successes, such a...
I don't think the Sony chap said that the 360's average user would only buy FPS games, what I think he said was the 360's average user was from the 'core first person shooter player' demographic.
Thus, of course, other games will sell. However, according to him (and I'm not saying that I agree here), the people buying those games primarily prefer 1st-person shooters, and these people are not historically Sony's primary target audience (although, I assume, they want to attract the...
Not unexpected.
My PS3 could do with one of those babies!
Awesome. I want one. I wonder if I can get a brain rumble pack? Utterly suh-weet!
That's really harsh. Poor chap. It seems Bungie are possibly sorting something for him, though; so that's something at least. Nevertheless, Microsoft deserve all the bad attention this story should bring.
If it were me, I'd be utterly gutted. Putting your trust, and your valuables, in a company's hands, only to have it spit in your face and gind your trust beneath its heel.
Not cool.
I completely agree. If I hadn't already reported this 'story' for the many reasons it needs be reported for, I'd be doing it again.
Heh!
At least someone seems to get the point. Bubbles for you, methinks.
Silly article.
I reckon Mario Kart and Too Human are vapourware as well. Oh, and God of War 3. Not that I have any proof -- and I don't care if people have played some of these games -- I just wanted you to read the nonsense I was spouting.
Silly article.
Fair enough. I'm utterly sold. This better live up to the hype or I'm going to be sorely disappointed.
