Regardless of personal preference, the console versions still scored very well in the reviews, especially the 360 version. Hence my slight surprise here.
:)
Well, he's not speaking for me.
Haze scored as high as the Orange Box?
Wow!
Maybe I'll think a little harder about getting it or now, now?
Well, I'm buying it.
OPM UK is pretty harsh on its exclusive reviews. So far, not one exclusive has been given a 10 by that magazine. This review is a first, and I'm pretty hyped.
:D
@onewinedangel: Warhawk was given a 9 by OPM UK, not a 6. They also gave Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Singstar, and Ninja Gaiden Sigma a 9, to give you an idea of what they have thought of the exclusives so far. Motorstorm received an 8; Heavenly Sword, a 7.
So...
Here, here. Well said, that man. I agree.
Yes, VG Chartz is not an accurate source; yes, it is sometimes wrong by a significant amount; and, yes, it makes mistakes. However, it is the only source we have for some of the markets; it has consistantly proven itself to be broadly accurate -- especially regarding overall trends -- even if the individual numbers are derived from comparitively small and incomplete data samples, and are never 100% accurate; and it is constantly updated a...
Shame, I wanted to play tonight. I should have checked the end-date, huh?
Good game -- I'll be playing it when released.
Sweet. I'm keen to see if Haze is any good. I was excited in November of last year, but that excitement died out as time passed. Perhaps a demo will rebuild that excitement?
As for Motorstorm... well, yes, epic. The first game, for all its flaws, rocks, and I'm looking forward to more.
:)
Oh, and as for the rest of the content: looking good; and more on Thurdsay, huh? Looks like a good week for a change.
:D
Really, I'm surprised so many of you find it so hard. I find the driving to be one of the best aspects of the game, and not too hard at all. Yes, it requires some getting used to, but put in the time and you reap the rewards.
Yuppers, it's the truth.
And I'm sure it will all change to something else by this time next year, such is the way with the fickle internet.
If this site were to be believed last year, the PS3 would be dead already. So far, that's yet to happen.
:)
What surprises me more is that the PS3 version is cheaper. That kinda goes against the trends elsewhere, especially here in the UK.
So, sucks for either breed of gamer in Denmark, but more for 360 peeps?
Not too cool, that.
Nice.
If any article represented the changes at NG4 this last year, this is it.
At this point last year a legion of strong 360 supporters jumped on every 360vsPS3 story, claiming 360 was the only machine for true gaming experiences, and the like, due to the poor port of 360 games to PS3. In response, PS3 supporters played down these differences, and did the whole 'just wait' thing.
Now, it appears matters have largely reversed. Now it's PS3 supporters jumping on every 360...
Nice! I'll go check out those bad boys now.
That isn't what the Q&A says. Only some of the songs and functionality will be downloadable (and, maybe, all the songs will be downloadable at some unspecified point). I am personally unimpressed, because I will not buy a second Blu-Ray; it is inconvenient and impedes fun play. Singstar is all about easy of use and conveniance -- well, for this gen it is, anyway -- this product appears to offer little of that.
Not cool.
Awesome.
Hmm. £28. That's not too much. I may wait for a £20 price point, however.
Yeah, this might convince me to buy it, too. I mean, big dragons, flying about, lots of killing -- what's not to like if the controls are sorted?
Anyone know if it's near budget prices in the UK yet? I won't buy it pre-owned.
So, reckon it'll be delayed again?
Last November I was excited by this game. However, now, several months later, I find my interest waning. This game'll need bloody good reviews to draw me back again.
Doesn't seem like much of a saving to me. However, I'm sure a funky bundle box will draw the eye of the casual gamer just looking for some GTA-goodness, which is the whole point, I suppose.
Anyone spotted any 360 bundles yet (not retail-created ones, obviously; actual bundles made by Microsoft)?
All sounds fair to me. Even the SIXAXIS comment; I also found it largely useless (barring the whole reloading-by-flicking-the-cont roller thing: that rocks!) -- although, I'm not sure I'd use it as a reason to avoid PS3, given it's optional. That said, he does enjoy baiting fanboys -- as would I in his position -- so his comment kinda amuses me nonetheless.
So, GTA: Great, sometimes awesome, but still flawed. Sounds about right.
