@4.1:
I find an Xbox price drop before Christmas very, very unlikely. This is the busiest time of year, and throwing away money like that makes very poor business sense. Xbox will sell in droves at Christmas, and will very likely sell out in many places. Thus, it does not need a price drop to sell significantly more consoles, and thus make more money -- in fact, a price dop will probably lose Micosoft money given that they are apparently unlikely to supply the demand as it stands if yo...
'Why was this article mapped as a PS3 topic?'
Well, the article includes information about when DivX comes to PS3, so it makes sense to me to include the article as a PS3 topic as well.
Is it just me, or does Kevin Hell have a videogame/comic book name? I mean, really, who's named 'Hell'?
That aside, this confirms pretty much what we had already guessed.
Yeah, bit of a non-event story this, and missing some useful stats -- like the ages of those surveyed. The end result is pretty much what you'd guess a bunch of US kids would want for toys.
Unlike the dross they have playing here in the UK, they seem like fairly decent ads that do a job. Nice.
I doubt this story will pass, as it isn't a story, just an advert for a Sony deal; that said, I'm sorely tempted nonetheless, as I need a new TV.
:D
Chaos League, which was originally going to be Blood Bowl until Games Workshop said no to the unsolicited use of their IP, was not a great game. I wanted to love it, as I really like Blood Bowl, but it was pretty poor.
Let's hope this game is a /lot/ better. I feel it could fit the PSP very well, and I could play it on the way to Games Day, which would be pretty cool.
:)
:D
Nonsense. You have no idea regarding the quality of the port of this game, and are posting drivel.
If I were to follow your example, I'd be as well to state the Xbox version of UT3 (which will come far later than the PS3 iteration) will be rubbish as it won't support all the same functions as the PS3 version.
As we both know, that statement about UT3 is as true as your statement regarding the Orange Box.
If you are going to be a critic, at least ma...
I'm pretty close to adding you to my ignore list. Your hate-filled comments rarely have any quality and come across robot-like without any personality or considered opinion. You solely spout Microsoft propoganda disregarding any counterpoint or attempt at discussion, which makes your comments pretty much worthless when considered objectively; which is a shame, as the good points you make are drowned out by the nonsense you are so keen to vomit onto my monitor.
Well, I'm keen to see how the game is handled on PS3. Given past efforts by EA, I'll admit I'm not full of hope; but, given recent releases, and the quality of them on PS3, it'll be hard to justify a poor port, so PS3 users may be in for a real treat.
:)
Too many good games coming this Christmas; not enough money to buy them all...
Really intelligent comment there. What's your beef? Do you just hate the game unreasoningly? Really, what's up?
Great find, and a great read. Thanks for posting that MK_Red (and tipping it, rgun). I agree with Mart /et al/ that this may indeed be a primary contributing reason to the wildly divergent reviews for this game.
Personally, I'm quietly looking forward to it now.
:)
Nice option. If I were to get the game it is certainly an option I would use. I wonder if other games will take this lead? After all, all PS3 users have fairly sizeable hdds.
???
Okay, I'm officially confused. PS3 graphics are both better and worse than the Xbox. Xbox controlling is both better and worse than the PS3. The game is both sublime and boring. The game deserves a 6 and a 10. The AI is lifelike and unrealistic.
What to believe?
Well, whatever it is, I'll know soon enough, as I'm getting it.
Cool. Very cool.
So, what do you all think, will this be one of those things that hits our screens sooner or later?
:)
Yeah, I'll buying it for the PS3; that said, it looks like the game will be effectively equal on both systems, so it really doesn't matter.
Really, such comparisons are pointless for anyone but the most anal. Unless there are clear and obvious differences -- something tangible that we can actually see with surety -- then I can't see the point in this sort of post, barring as an opening for the following:
Looks like both systems have a pretty similar looking game. If you like the look of it, go buy it already.
Personally, I will be buying it -- although, not at launch day. I'll wait for Christmas or m...
Wow!
If this is true, tomorrow is going to rock! Uncharted and Haze in a single day?
Nice!
Well, judging by those stills, this one goes to the PS3 (especially clear on the shots of the clouds, for example). That said, just how many people outside of Japan will care about this is up for debate. I've always had a soft spot for the Dynasty Warrior games (I had a few for PS2) -- but not that much of a soft spot.
I'm still waiting for the reviews before I buy this. If it's another poor EA port, I'll be forced to skip this title for one of the many other quality games coming my way.
Too many good games this Christmas, methinks.
