Well, there you go. Miracles do happen. I agree with the review 100%; what's up with that?
Completed the game, btw. It rocked. I'm on my second playthrough now.
They're afraid of spoilers, and the revelations of the game being ruined.
Sweet! I'll be giving that a go!
A fair and pretty honest appraisal of Qore; a bit of a surprise considering the source.
:)
If anything shows the pointlessness of aggregate review scores as a reasonable guide to the quality of a game, it is this odd situation. On one hand, the review contributes a 90% rating, on the other, it adds 95%. Kinda makes Metacritic and GameRankings look like a pile of nonsense to me.
Reviews are subjective views of individuals with, sometimes, all-together too much influence on people's opinions. People clutch for the inevitable numbers (or letters) like drowning men for a l...
Hmm, the content would have to be bloody marvelous before I'd be willing to pay for it. I suppose we'll see, huh?
That's exactly the review I expected from Eurogamer; playing to type as always. Should be an interesting day watching these reviews coming in.
How many times will this review be approved?
Really, I don't think the overall quality of the game can be determined one way or the other by a Famitsu review. After all, 34/40 is the same score they gave Haze and The Orange Box.
I keep reminding myself not to get too excited; I don't want to be disappointed when this game finally plays in my PS3.
But, really, it's not working.
Snake! Snaaaaaaaaaaaake!
:D
Well, assuming all the people who've played it say good things (and it seems they are), I'll pick this baby up.
:)
I kinda wish this silly rumour would just be resolved one way or the other. If the game does come to PS3, I'll buy it (probably for next Christmas, when I always get a bunch of new games). If it doesn't, well, never mind; I have more than enough games coming in the too near future to care that much about this game overly much.
It's just another teaser -- nothing to get too excited about.
:)
Well, I'm playing it now, and it is exactly what I expected: a nice little adventure-shooter.
You get a bunch of weapons and collectables based around your bow, and you wander pre-defined mazes killing bad guys, with 'dark mist' occassionally occluding your sight so you cant see where the bad guys are, which is the USP, I suppose.
It's proving to be quite fun so far.
:)
Fine little analysis. I enjoyed that far more than I thought I would. That said, the gameplay is looking somewhat linear so far. Let's hope there is more to it than progressing through fairly fixed areas with neatly red-marked pipes and the like guiding your way.
Gloria and Alex are only 69p -- which sounds like some sort of crude joke to me, even though it isn't ;).
I'll tell you once it's downloaded. I'm 52% of the way so far. I've read that it's a pretty basic adventure-shooter that should amuse most -- but I'll be making my own conclusions soon. My daughter loved the trailer, so I was always going to be buying this one.
Pixeljunk Monsters is the major content for me (and my wife) this month. And all the themes always go down well with my daughter (she changes her theme often). And a demo/trailer or two always helps.
As for th...
Quality update. I'm a happy camper.
Yeah, I wasn't sure if he'd said that in jest or not. Whichever, it's amusing either way.
Sweet. About time, too. It better have trophy support, or I might cry like a baby girl.
