Whilst I fully agree with your comment, it seems Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction is another PS3 exclusive that is generally considered AAA, given that it has scored 90 or over on both metacritic and gamerankings. Whatever the case, 'tis a good time to be a PS3 owner, that much is sure, as there are even more cool titles on the horizon.

If Warner go Blu-ray, it seems unlikely the format will lose in the long-term, especially with PS3 support. After all, every PS3 sold brings another potential Blu-ray customer into the market.

Obviously, as a PS3 owner, I would like to see Blu-ray succeed, but nothing looks certain yet, other than the fact that Blu-ray discs are currently selling very well.

Warner could consolidate that lead if it was sufficiently tempted to go with Blu-ray exclusivly. That said,...

Man! That rocks! The video worked on me. Uncharted is a definite buy for me now, there is no doubt about it. For those of you not watching the video, I'm pretty sure you /will not/ be let down. This game is looking absolutely fantastic!

Too many good games just now, huh?

:D

Edit: For the chap that disagreed: What do you disagree with? The '...game looking absolutely fantastic', or the 'too many good games...' comment? Both seem fair observations to...

Nice, I'll go update my PSPs.

While you have a point, the UK iteration of OPM is completely independant, and reviews games according to the games themselves, not the urgings of Sony. Look at the review for Eye of Judgement in the same magazine, for example: it only scored 6/10.

I've always found OPM to be very reliable; but I'm sure others may disagree.

@22.1: Yuppers, the pic is from Equilibrium.

Not so sure you've got it all right there, this time. I'm sure we'll all know in about a month.

Really, why do you bother? Reading your post makes me cringe, and I own a PS3 (perhaps that's what you want?).

Go play your games and be happy with your machine. Sony (or anyone else) does not need your help or your support in anyway other than your hard earned cash buying their products. Yes, people talking up a machine can be a good thing -- the old word-of-mouth free advertising -- but not the way you try to do it.

LOL!

Amen to that! I'm seriously concerned about how much money it seems I'm going to be spending.

6658d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Ah well, I suppose I'll have to get this as well. What else is money for, if not for spending?

There are too many really cool games hitting PS3 just now. I wonder how UT and Haze will compare? They have a hard act to follow, to say the very least.

Personally, I hope it does a little better. I'm really looking forward to Uncharted.

For a while, Assassin's Creed was top of my pile, but having learnt about some of the control options for that game, I am less than impressed, so I'm now waiting to read all the reviews before I consider buying it.

That all aside, it's good to see R&C getting another stellar review. This is a game I will be buying as soon as it hits the UK.

@13.1: Well, I reckon you're in for some hard decisions. I'm finding it very difficult to limit myself to just 5 PS3 games between now and Christmas as there are so many good titles coming out. I can't imagine how hard it is going to be for cross-platform gamers to make their choices.

Good time to be a gamer, huh?

6658d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

I wasn't hugely convinced, but apparently OPM UK has reviewed the PS3 version at 10/10. That's pretty rare for them, and I'm kinda swinging round to getting it now.

Bah! I have so many games to buy, and too little money.

6658d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I'll be buying this. Both my wife and I love Civ, and both of us prefer console gaming to PC gaming, so this is pretty much a must.

6658d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

That's about what I was expecting for this game. If I spot it on the cheap, I may buy it, but otherwise I'll probably be giving this one a miss.

That said, my daughter loves the demo, so I may not have a lot of choice.

:)

Good article. And I pretty much agree with everything he says.

For example: if it wasn't for the Xbox and Wii, my PS3 would have cost a lot more money to buy. So, I have the multi-platform nature of the market to thank for a cheaper Play Station, and that is a good thing to my eyes.

Ouch -- that's far from ideal, especially for those new Arcade 360 owners!

Still, I'm kinda keen to pick the game up, but I think I may wait a little while first.

Heh! Well, he's certainly a character. Noby Noby Boy looked absolutely crazy, and now I can see why.

I like him!

:D

Yeah, I know I could, but I'm one of those freaks that like to stick with my agreement with Sony. I'm not meant to create such an account, so I don't.

So, no American or Japanese accounts for me -- I'll stick with my UK one, no matter how underserved the EU Playstation network sometimes appears to be.

It'll get here in the end, and I'm happy to wait until that point (although, of course, I'd rather not, as the game really does look very good indeed).

Well, we won't know this for sure until the game itself is actually released, but we can say that it is currently looking very, very good indeed.

Personally, I can't wait for this game to finally hit my PS3.
