Sweet! Nice ad. I liked that quite a lot, although advertising Home before it is released seemed a little off to me -- perhaps there are plans on that front that we're not privvy to.
However, I doubt it.
:)
I'm stunned. R&C is significantly worse than PixelJunk Racers? That's insane. I have PJR, and it's okay, but it's hardly a great game worthy of critical acclaim. Certainly not worth an 8 by any measure I'd use. And the R&C rating is even dafter. I think I'll stick with OPM-UK reviews, and ignore this magazine completely. OPM-UK game R&C a 9 and PJR a 5, which seems pretty much spot-on to me.
I hate you all. It's going to feel like a very long time before it hits the UK side of the pond. (And, no, I'm not interested in a US account, so please don't tell me to open one).
Man, I want to play this game so much!
:D
Amen to that. The UK store crashed for several hours when the R&C demo went up; I expect this demo will be worse when it hits us over here.
:)
Yahtzee, I salute you. It's nice to see reviews that cut to the quick and notice the things that everyone else likes to be blinded to.
Good review, f**k yeah! (the expletive was referenced from the review, just in case the pointless expletive police are reading)
:)
Well, if I was unsure before, I'm convinced now: I'm buying this game the second it's released. I'm not only massively impressed by Uncharted, but I'm impressed with Naughty Dog as well, and they deserve my cash.
Great graphics, nice animations, intuative controls... Sounds a bit too much, better mark Naughty Dog down for putting too much into one game!
;)
Silliness aside, the game is looking absolutely amazing, and I'm really looking forward to it.
:)
I'm glad of exactly the same thing. My PS3 rocks and plays great games.
;)
Yeah, if I was them, I'd be a little bitter about the Gamespot review. Now the wider picture can be seen regarding R&C's reviews, that review really does look like an anomoly rather than the trend that I read many people were trying to claim it would turn out to be.
Interesting podcast, though -- nice to get a few insider insights. Thanks for posting it Kururo.
:D
Hell, they can delay the game for a year if necessary, as long as it lives up to my expectations in the end. Lines about fine wines spring to mind.
:)
Well, as a recent PS3 purchaser, I'm 100% happy with my purchase. There are a ton of amazing exclusives coming to PS3, and the quality of the multi-platform games are significantly increasing, and in some cases improving upon Xbox equivalents. However, as you say, Xbox also has games that seem to run better on it. That is just way way of things in a multi-platform market -- sometimes one machine is better, somtimes the other is. However, this will become less of an issue as people grow used t...
That there is some pretty sweet deals. I hope they are real, and I hope they ship to the rest of Europe, as they could make a positive difference to the PS3 (and PSP) user base. Anything that brings more PS3 gamers, and means I'm more likely to get more quality PS3 games, is a good thing in my book.
:)
Yes, I am a little surprised, and a lot disappointed. Fortunately, there are more than enough other games to throw my money at.
:D
Well, I'm sorely disappointed to read the PS3 version appears to be the lesser iteration of the game. That's one sale to Ubisoft lost here. I'll plop my money in Naughty Dog's direction, I think, as Uncharted looks exceptional. At best, it seems I'll hire Assassin's Creed -- I have too little free cash to buy sub-standard games that I could play on other machines and have a better experience.
Don't worry about it -- these things happen. It certainly made the site interesting for a few minutes.
:D
As a PS3 owner that is just a little fed up of visiting news sites filled with vitriol aimed at my console, some of it justified, much of it not, this, if true, comes as a welcome piece of news, albeit a small one.
That said, there will be no whooping from the rooftops in my house regarding this game until I see how the game performs and reviews elsewhere. So far OPM-UK has given it 10/10, but there is still a long way to go before I'll fully accept that.
:)
Man, that looks sweet! Gah! I was holding out for Haze for my FPS fix as well, but this looks almost too good to be true.
Bah!
Looks like I may have to get both, my wallet be damned.
:)
Yeah, I'd read about this coming. Depending upon how well it works in practice, it's a feature that I can see several uses for. Things are looking good for my PS3.
:D
Well, whenever it's released, it won't be soon enough for me.
:D
Well, I do my bit. I've had my PS3 on for two weeks. When not using it, I've set it to automatically start folding after 10 minutes sitting idle. It's kinda bizarre, but it does give you a good feeling to know that you are making a tiny difference.
That aside, PS3's contribution to Stanford University's project is obviously enormous, and that can only be a good thing.
:)
