Oh, it's easy to understand. Ask yourself this:
a) who will be missing out on this game?
b) is there anything currently existing on competing consoles that have the interest of gamers the way that this title has since its release?
c) who would benefit from the game doing poorly?
d) if the people who played and experienced the alpha for themselves loved the game with hardly any complaints, then who are these people that have such a bone to pick with...
I agree but I find them more infuriating than humorous.
You'd have to do damage control all the time as well if you had people constantly criticizing your work without any provocation to do so. I guarantee at least one or two more instances of this nonsense between now and March, when Titanfall drops.
The thing that bothers me the most is that this type of witch hunting has been going on a lot more ever since the XB1 was announced. I'm absolutely certain that at least 90% of the people criticizing the game have no intentio...
Among the Sleep is a fantastic idea! Surprised something like this wasn't made sooner.
I have no doubt that the PS4 will get killer titles, just like the PS3 did. As of right now, I'm not seeing anything calling my attention. I'm digging what the XB1 has put out so far and with Titanfall coming right around the corner, I'm more than satisfied.
Until they get games that I actually want to play, I'll respectfully disagree with that claim.
That you have a PS4 and you're actually admitting this gets you much respect. Bubble.
Anyone else preorder already? I did. Gamestop shows this with an April release date but this will probably fall closer to the fall. September/October is my guess.
Depends on the game. Some games rely on a character with a defined look and voice to push the story and the intentions of the developers forward.
Microtransactions? No.
Season Pass? HIGHLY likely. Just hope it's reasonably priced.
The problem with Nintendo is their general stubbornness. The "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality only works for so long. I would love nothing less than to see them go multiplat for my own selfish reasons but if they want to stay in the game, they've gotta start changing things up and start giving gamers more than new Marios and Zeldas and bring back that excitement that was once synonymous with a new Nintendo release.
Chalk it up to advertising, one of the main reasons why Platinum Games titles always seem to undersell, regardless of how amazing they are. It's really a shame when a great title gets undermarketed or just marketed poorly altogether.
I mean, to be fair, let's look at Quentin Tarantino for instance. The man makes films by basically drawing from the wealth of films he's seen. He takes all these parts to come up with something more or less original, which works to his advantage because the films he lifts from are usually so obscure that you'd be forgiven for missing the reference. What I noticed while playing Binary Domain was that its influences were VERY obvious. There's a particular robot in the game for e...
The very definition of an overlooked gem. It's not without its share of problems (the voice command feature is simply horrendous) and it's not exactly original (the game is essentially Gears of War mixed with heaping spoonfuls of The Terminator, Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell and I, Robot) but it plays really well, has eye opening boss battles and a good amount of play time with lots of different game styles to take part in. Definitely deserved a better reception than it got.
Doing just that.

As soon as I posted up that I signed up on another article on here, several N4Gers jumped on to tell me I had been scammed. No proof of such and complete ignoring of the fact that had it been a scam, EA and Respawn would have warned people across the internet not to sign up. The fact that these people were so eager to tell me I had been duped translates to me as something they wanted to be truth, i.e. anything to knock Titanfall down a notch.
Sec...
No, people were HOPING it was a scam. They know who they are. I got in myself but I'm at work, so no Titanfall alpha for me until about an hour and a half from now.
Looked in my email box just now and there's a Titanfall Alpha code just sitting there. I know what I'll be doing later tonight!
The title alone tells you why they think they can get away with charging full price for the next-gen versions. These people don't realize that by pricing it accordingly, say at around a respectable $40, they'd sell a hell of a lot more copies than they will when the game drops at $60.
Long story short, I can wait for the inevitable price drop, as eager as I am to finally get to play this.
If that happens, the streets will be flooded by the tears of Sony fans. Either that or you'll just hear, "Ah, that game sucks anyway." or "We didn't need that." etc etc etc.
