Got it at Gamestop but ONLY because I had store credit.
I love reading posts like this. It's funny to me to think that people actually believe that Sony is this magical company that doesn't really want your cash and would simply give away their PS4 to all of gamingdom if it weren't for, you know, HAVING TO MAKE A PROFIT.
All these big companies want your money and their schemes are all the same, regardless of the form they take.
I am a Day One Xb1 owner and I'm not really bummed about this at all. Of course it would have been nice to get the system at a cheaper price but this is an industry where a game releases at $60 and two months later, you'll see the same game selling for $30 (case in point, AC4: Black Flag). I don't think people are storming the streets with pitchforks and torches over this.
I'm getting the impression that the hype is going to die down immediately after its release. Pickings must be pretty dry out there if people are getting that worked up over this title.
I don't so much care for it but if it were to come, I surely wouldn't say no to it.
No worries. The game will still look good and most importantly, will be a blast to play.
Funny how people are this excited about a game that no one knows hardly anything about. I'm not going to trash the game seeing as I haven't played it for myself but I just don't get what the commotion is about in regards to this. I'm hearing a lot of hype talk from the devs but not much else.
Not really a relief for me because deep down, I know that once this resolution thing gets cleared up for good, some other "problem" blown out of proportion will take its place. Really wish I could come on here without all the constant fighting and name calling.
And here I was convinced by so many on N4G that the XB1 couldn't do 1080p/60fps. Imagine that!
I have to say that if you really think so, it's because you personally want that to be the case, not because it's fact. PS3 managed to bounce back and if they could do it, so can the XB1. The XB1 has plenty to look forward to coming down the pipe. They might not be selling as well as the PS4 but they're still moving decent numbers and they're about to receive the most talked about game of the past year in a matter of weeks. Saying it's too late for the XB1 is really jumpin...
I'm getting MGS V when it's being sold as one complete unit. This doesn't need to be a day one purchase on either end, unless of course you're a die hard MGS fanatic.
Patience will reward you.
Love that you're the only one laughing.
Another thing that I think messed them up was their general stubbornness in regards to some of the series long standing traits. I think the fact that it took them so long to update their control scheme to one where you could actually move and shoot at the same time hurt them pretty badly. When Dead Space came out using that approach, it worked, effectively beating RE to the punch. I remember the developers saying that they preferred the shooting from a fixed point angle because it made the ga...
It makes sense to me to look at it like this:
I think Capcom looked at the RE films and figured out that that's what the fans wanted. The first RE film was actually pretty decent. You can almost feel the shift in genre in the 4th game, where by the end of it, it's basically an action film. RE5 retained the creepy feel of the original games for maybe the duration of that first level in the African village... and then the rest of the game was just Michael Bay action mo...
The double standard over resolution/performance on here is ridiculous. Personally, I don't care about any of this stuff but it's interesting to see the reactions over this, mainly from the Sony side. Hopefully this will show people that it's not the numbers you should be looking at but how much fun and general entertainment and replay value you're getting.
It's always good to wait to buy ANYTHING, especially video games these days.
Totally. There's no other game right now making waves like this one. It's been trending on Twitter for weeks now, which doesn't count for nothing. It will help systems but I couldn't tell you how many.
I don't really care either way. Not really taking stock in what game is outputting at whatever resolution. Gameplay will always > graphics/resolution to me. Only reason I even bothered posting that previous comment was because of the "importance" that so many on here have on games being 1080p/60fps. If I was clueless and chose to listen to these people, then I probably would have missed out on Titanfall.
If this is indicative of things to come, the most vocal of the 1080p/60fps zealots can only blame themselves. Basically, be careful what you ask for. You just might get it.
You did NOT just got there.
