Doesn't everyone know by now that you just can't go by user reviews on that site as they've become worthless? If Halo Wars fails, it won't be because of sabotaged Metacritic scores, that's for sure.

The Halo 3 beta was definitely a deal sweetener but I wouldn't have bought the game in the first place if it didn't look purchase worthy and sure enough, it was. I'm sure many people bought this squarely for the opportunity to play the beta. Nothing wrong with a good co-op sandbox game if you ask me.

Maybe they can add the shoot and move mechanic in such a way that you can't move around too fast while you're doing it? I think that would keep things tense while maintaining some fluidity in the controls.

You know, I understand that by not letting you move while you shoot, it keeps this entry as being faithful to the rest of the series. It feels very restricted because of this. Still, it's the one thing about this demo that I just don't like besides the fact that you can tell which zombies they added to satiate those who believe this game is in fact an exercise in racism. I find it more disturbing when I'm playing a game with an "M" for mature rating and there's a group of kids who obviously aren't older than 13 in there as well spewing racial hate at me. Plus, don't these kids have parents to warn them of the dangers of talking to strangers on the internet?
Yeah, the graphics were great, the surround sound was even better and some of the boss battles were really impressive but the game felt like it moved way too slow and the story makes absolutely no sense, with no characters even worth mentioning. I found this game really boring and got rid of it as soon as I beat it, which is something I rarely do. The online portion wasn't even worth spending time on being that there are other more interesting games out there to play with other people.
I was playing Bomberman Live a while back and this one kid wins. When the winners circle appeared at the end, his camera window was in the middle as usual but instead of seeing a dumb victory pose, there he is, literally jerking off. I sent Microsoft a message about what he did and if they banned him, I don't know. Still, I guess the point of the message is that there's always gonna be a jerkoff out there.
PS3 supporters are behind this one for one reason only:

The guy made some really valid points regarding the story, its definitely not the best I've seen in a game. Not to say that its not enjoyable, it just feels a bit cliched and a little murkier than needed. The story leaves more questions behind than it answers. That's all good in my book, I'm just hoping they tie up their loose ends in the inevitable GOW3.

The PS3 is most likely what caused the profit loss for poor old Sony. I really hope that they take the mistakes they made this generation and make better decisions in releasing their next system. Releasing at a ridiculously high price point and forcing a new technology (BD) down potential buyers throats was not the way to go.
I'm beginning to have a sort of strange fascination for this title. I was a big SF2 fan back in the days and I love where they've taken the series with the 4th one.

There's still a lot to be gotten out of these systems. Gone are the days of a new system every couple of years. We're going to see systems stick around for longer and longer, especially now that games are taking longer and longer to make.
I have pretty much all of these save for Braid, Ikaruga and SSF2. I want to get Braid but there's no way in hell I'm paying that much for it. As for your other comment on Xbox Vision penis shots, I'm still scarred from the time I was playing Bomberman and the winner was jacking off in front of the cam when the end results appeared.
