I'm willing to bet vital parts of my anatomy that most of the people bitching about this are Sony fans who have no intention of playing the game, just like they bitched about the XB1 pre-release.
Dude, it's not that the system can't handle it. 6v6 was where they felt the sweet spot was after heavy testing with varying degrees of player numbers.
I swear, people are so quick to jump the gun with their armchair game designing. I'm looking forward to this game regardless and I'll let my personal experience with it be the judge. If I play it and then it sucks, then I'll bitch.
I was just thinking the same thing, like why is this SO important to announce upfront? I just finished playing through Ryse which if I'm not mistaken runs at 900p and the game looks absolutely amazing. This is one of those details that doesn't really make or break anything. Gameplay first, resolution stats later.
Both this game and Outrise sound VERY interesting.
Not stressing this at all. They said that this was the player count that worked out to be the most fun after extensive testing. Respawn is trying to give us a great gaming experience, not just throwing in a 32 on 32 matchmaking system for the hell of it. And if you read the details beyond the numbers, the game sounds bananas. 12 players running around with their Titans running independently, AI bots running around as well...
I already got this preordered and I'm sure I ...
I can only think about Sony stating that they were "all about the gamers" a few months back and now they're pulling this nonsense?
They had me at multiplayer Shadow of the Colossus.
LMAO Oh man, you got caught out there
Really curious about the pricing on this.
Why would they stop? It's the exact same tactics that helped them get a leg up on MS early on in this gen and the same tactics that so many are eating up.
Spoken like a true fanboy! You've managed to take a simple little comment I made and blow it completely out of proportion but that's what you lot excel at, right? I wonder what you'd be saying about Titanfall if it were a PS4 exclusive... then again, that's neither here nor there is it? I guess I've just imagined seeing all the comments on here, stating as if it were gospel, that Titanfall would certainly see a release on the PS4. That doesn't denote some kind of "...
So instead of smashing your controllers against the wall or floor, now you can eat it and crap it out. The ultimate disrespect.
What Gearbox did with the Alien franchise was nearly destroy it. Speaking of which, I saw the collector's edition for Aliens: Colonial Marines selling brand new for less than $10.
I'm willing to bet that they're pricing this at $60 just to take advantage of the fact that as of right now, both next gen systems are running dry on new titles. If I were desperate, I'd pay the $60 but being that I've gotten familiar with how the prices on these titles tend to drop quickly, I can stand to wait a few months.
It's gonna be a multiplat I think... but which one? Maybe the next Rocksteady title? I get the feeling it's something that hasn't been mentioned at all yet.
I'm pretty sure this game will deliver the goods. There was a certain magic in that reveal trailer, enough to make me jump on board with the XB1 and put in my preorder for Titanfall. When even the die hard supporters of a competing console are clamoring for the opposition's exclusive title, you know the devs are doing something right.
I'm going to say that 9 times out of 10, the Kinect works like its supposed to and it functions like a dream. That being said, sometimes the thing just decides it doesn't want to obey your voice commands on occasion.
It escapes me why people aren't enjoying their XB1 is all I meant. It's a great system and I've been enjoying the games I've been playing on it quite a bit.
@thehitman I was expecting crap and to be honest, I ended up enjoying the game quite a bit. Let's get the obvious out of the way first, the graphics are outstanding and unbelievably detailed. A LOT of work was done on those environments and character models and it shows. We've definitely reached a point where in-game graphics look like pre-rendered cut scenes which seemed impossible only a few short years ago. The storyline is engaging but merely average. The voice acting is very well...
