I love Uncle Buck but I can't agree with you on the Kinect. Besides, if the PS4 camera were even on the same level, don't you think they would have left it in the box? Of course not, it was worth Sony dropping the camera from the packaging altogether to undercut the price on the XB1. Basically, don't knock it if you haven't tried it.
"People themselves have to determine how fun a game is themselves."
Yet, his definition of what is fun as opposed to what you'd want him to say is completely unacceptable to you. At the end of the day, the guy is just like any other gamer, with the difference being that he's being paid to put his likeness and opinions out there. This is the same logic that made the whole Polygon review of "Last of Us" debacle so ridiculous in the first place. I thi...
All that stuff you've listed doesn't change the fact that the game is one of the most fun experiences you'll ever have playing a videogame. Then again, having fun and enjoying yourself these days with a game can't seem to happen unless the resolution is just right.
Titanfall and Infamous: SS are two COMPLETELY different games. Why would you get upset that he rated one higher than the other? In the end, it's his opinion. I'd rather take a so-so review on a game that he actually played than hear a bunch of gamers knock Titanfall without ever having even played it, personally.
Yeah that wouldn't exactly be price friendly. It's the moving around bit that they need to figure out. Like how can they effectively create these VR experiences where it actually feels like you're not just seeing these crazy sights but walking around in them as well?
The promise of VR tech excites me but at the same time, how exactly can they get the controls right with this kind of tech? Seems to be the one thing that holds it back.
Another perfect example of the double standards here at N4G. Trash the game because it's not on your system and then get all excited when the possibility of that same game or a sequel showing up on your system raises its head. Sort of reminds me of Gollum talking to himself.
Any difference is negligible. From this video, I can't really see much of a diff between either next gen console.
Willing to bet that 2k and 4k will be used more for movie downloads than actual games. We'll probably see a couple of ultra high resolution games that are simple titles. As it stands, Not that many people have 4k TVs anyway.
Just got my hands on this for the Xbox One and right from the get go, it's astounding. Looks gorgeous and yet manages to capture that old Tomb Raider magic. Didn't get to play it last gen so I'm looking forward to playing through it.
I know how this might sound to some of you but something about Journey makes me very emotional. The music by Austin Wintory for one is something that touches me but there's also something in the interaction you have with the random people who you join up with that makes the game something truly special. I find myself tearing up often when I play it and I can't quite put my finger on what it is or why. Journey is a game that EVERY gamer should experience.
No way am I buying this. Wait long enough and you'll get the whole thing as one combined edition for much cheaper.
LMAO Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. How do you come by your information? Did you hold a massive informal survey? PS4 fans aren't rabid over FPS shooters but hey, they'll all go buy Killzone 4 just to spend some cash, I'm guessing?
What nonsense.
So then according to N4G logic, this should be very, very bad for the PS4, seeing as everyone hates CoD. Amirite? Hilarious.
The moment you do that, it becomes a niche item. The reason most add-ons and accessories usually fail to take hold is because developers will tend to avoid developing for something that doesn't have a guaranteed user base. These days with games costing a frick ton of cash to develop, you're going to see these guys taking less of a risk and they'll pretty much avoid any unnecessary risks if they can. With each Xbox One coming packaged with the tech, there's less need to worry a...
It's not just an "add-on". It's as integral to the system as the controller, albeit for different reasons.
If they get rid of the Kinect, it would definitely be a shame. It works very well and is integrated into the XB1 UI quite nicely. Find it funny that so many of the same people on here trashing the thing then talk about how excited they are for Sony's inferior camera tech.
Easy. Brand loyalty and capitalizing on MS's HUGE missteps when they initially announced the XB1.
Understand that I'm not saying the PS4 is garbage. I'd be a fool to stand here and tell you that the PS4 will not get it's fair share of amazing exclusives in the future. As of right now, however? Why would I bother? If you pay attention to the chatter, why is it that I'm seeing more being written about how well the system is selling and tech stats on its buil...
The fact that neither of the games you mentioned have been released kind of renders your argument moot.
As for 3rd party games, the difference in visual and performance quality between both console versions is negligible. I don't think there's one case where one blows the other one out of the water.
The XB1 is no slouch when it comes to graphics, you know. Look at Ryse, Forza... even a multiplat like Tomb Raider looks pretty amazing.
The truth = disagree magnet.
