I kid, I kid
Right - I forgot about the "removing bad genes from the reproductive pool" aspect.
Cheers

I forget the criteria to actually "win" a Darwin Award. (hilarious books btw)
Does a "winner" have to actually die doing something extraordinarily stupid?
With being maimed qualifying them for a nomination or honorable mention?
Moron.
This numbskull took sports fanatacism even further than this couple...

Not sure about the mobile app.
The PC version worked just fine for me.
I feel like a kid at Christmas with all the free stuff that's already on the storefront.
Every time I see him with this look I get to thinking Dana Carvey could do a mean impersonation.
Indeed are they are (now).
Just got my freebie code e-mailed to me.
An awesome start to the what should be an incredible week!

I'm in the same/similar boat as you, Dead. Currently sporting twin 580s (Classifieds) which will let me work through my backlog with solid performance until the next quantum leap in GPUs.
Then hopefully the Maxwell upgrade will hold me for another 2-3 generations.
So I'd say worth the wait as Johny5 suggested. I doubt you'll be disappointed either way, just a bit more return on investment with waiting.

Love the pic for this article!
I remember pouring countless hours into Karateka - could almost beat that game blindfolded.
The aspect of GFWL that I objected to the most was their woefully misguided attempt to get PC gamers to PAY for GFWL.
I remember picking Gears on PC and it came with a card for a "free trial" of Live.
That was greeted - properly - by a resounding WTF revolt from PC gamers. And now free it is (and rightfully so).
Probably so. If GFWL was preventing you from being able to even launch the game, patching it out should fix that.
I think this type of thing is why so many PC gamers are excited for GFWL to go the way of the dodo (if the service is why games don't work/work right).
Very true. My experience has been pretty positive - no game breaking issues of any kind.
Same for me on the GFWL titles. Most of mine are from Steam - just a couple of strays from Amazon (Street Fighter 4 is gorgeous on max settings, isn't it) and the GFWL marketplace (got Fable 3 for pennies on the dollar and a couple of others).
I noticed some Steam games are already patching out GFWL (e.g. Batman, Bioshock 2), which is kind of a bummer in a way. Mea...
It is kind of cool to earn achievements on PC games - particularly if you game on Xbox, too (which I do).
I can also understand the problems that many users have encountered (e.g. unable to launch their game).
The downside of GFWL that I've personally felt the most was game save issues:
1) Some random corrupted saves (game-specific)
2) Lack of cloud saves for most titles
3) Erratic performance of cloud saves (for the few games that...
@ Reginald - I didn't mine the one hit servers, so long as they were LAARK free

Manchester Cathedral, 20 vs. 20 - I can't count how many excellent hours I sunk into that setup. Some of the best MP gaming to be had!
Great times
Agreed fellas'.
Anyone know how low a web site's rating stars have to go before they are banned/penalized?
Looks like this site is sitting on ~ 1.5 (and falling)
We'll know he's hurting when he starts posting spam links on N4G.
C'mon spammers! This is your chance to actually help somebody!

Indeed.
Heaven forbid someone point out gaming's positives such as encouraging problem solving skills, sharpening hand-eye coordination, etc.
I would contend that gaming offers far more positive returns in comparison to, say, watching TV (something that EVERYONE does).
@ Rue & Curtis
Agreed. Knack is an enjoyable platformer that looks nice, has solid mechanics, decent length, and personally, I didn't mind the story.
Personally, I would rate in ~ 7-8 out of 10. Probably not higher than that, but definitely not this low. (There is nothing fundamentally broken about this game - not even remotely)
Overall, a satisfying game. I don't understand the hate from reviewers.
