True that, Hank.
Being a gamer shouldn't require animosity towards "the other side" (be it Sony, MS, Nintendo, whatever).
In my book, passionate gamers should:
1) Make an educated purchase
2) Enjoy it
3) Not start p!ssing contests*
* Sometimes rational minds will need to finish said contests when misguided zealots spew nonsense as fact (which we do see a lot of here on N4G)
"Video Games Are Awesome"
Yes. Yes they are. That's why we're all part of this site.
Unfortunately, that basic premise does seem to take a backseat to the flamewars - for some folks, anyway.
Both
Very easy. Just gotta' know the components and balance the performance you want with what you can afford.
Plenty of online resources and user reviews can assist with picking a:
- Case
- Mobo, CPU, and RAM (compatibility being key here)
- GPU
- Power supply
- Disk drive
- OS
- After market extras (beefier CPU fan, case fans, gaming kb/m, etc)

P.S. An upgraded crowd will be available as DLC for a nominal fee
True. The case itself is pretty slick.
Would be nice to be able to buy the case alone and stick in your own components (higher spec, higher quality, and lower price).
The price for the rest of this build is a joke.
May as well go for Plus now, aye?
Plus extends to all PS systems anyway (Vita, PS3, PS4, etc), so you wouldn't lose anything when you do get your PS4. And you'd get some fantastic games right now.
Keep repeating that and we'll have shades of Isaac Clarke.
Heh, heh
If you're a PC gamer, GameFly sells Steam keys and they do have some Deadpool keys left (for $9.99).
Not sure if that will be helpful or not...
@ Naroon
But that's not entirely accurate.
With Steam, those who've already purchased the game have continued access to download and redownload at will. The game remains in their download library - even if it has been pulled from the market.
I believe that's the standard you'll find on respectable digital marketplaces.
Cheers
I'd second Guitarded on that.
Deus Ex is fantastic, but I found AC4 totally immersive.
The naval battles and looting never got old to me - I sometimes totally drifted from the main narrative just to loot and manage the fleet (hours on end).
Edit: Did you play AC3 and enjoy the naval portions in that? If so, AC4 has polished that in pretty much every respect.
It's a relaxing diversion, good in short bursts. Gets a bit tedious with longer sessions.
As a bonus for trophy hunters, it has cross save but with separate trophy sets (PS4 separate from PS3/Vita).
Bros before Hos
It was humorous and fit the circumstances of the game.
Screw anyone that took exception to the original name (overly sensitive, PC nonsense)
Currently it's also $30 on Amazon and Best Buy.
Gonna' jump on this one!
BS intro. I strongly disagree with the generalization as well as the specifics...
A disappointing dissonance "that’s especially evident in its first batch of downloadable titles...". Seiously?
One word: Resogun (not indie, but awesome downloadable and free with PS+)
Also, the other games in the PS4 launch lineup seem solid to me. Hardly a "dissonance".

This.
The "no games" argument doesn't hold water and hasn't for a while.
And I've found remote play to be incredible and seamless.
But both the games and remote play are awesome.
Why buy it for just one purpose when it covers both in spades?
Granted, just my humble opinion, of course.
@ Rue
Well said, my friend. Well said.
@ dcj
True, it isn't. But I'm not getting how the minor gripes equate to a broken score.
My thoughts on the common issues people people seem to raise:
- Too Easy: Try it on harder levels - incredibly unforgiving (which can be a good thing)
- Too repetitive: I never found it tedious (see next point below)
- Weak Enemies and Simple Combat Mechanics: At face value combat may seem shallow but enemy va...

What Xsilver said.
And considering:
- They probably don't expect a ton of sales (smaller install base than PS3, obviously)
- It's a freebie on PS+
- 30 fps not an issue with this type of game
I don't see the problem with this. To the contrary, why WOULD they invest a heap more time and money for this iteration?
Built from the ground up would likely be 1080/60 (see Resogun)
