Dead indeed.
Didn't Darwin have a law about this kinda' thing?
I would echo Dishonored, my personal GOTY.
Most good games I'll play through multiple times, but it's rare when I'll play through a game more than 2 or 3 times.
I'm on Dishonored play through #6 at the moment and have played each level a different way or a different path each time. Haven't done this since the original Bioshock.
Granted, lots of worthy candidates to choose from.
Borderlands 2 and Far Cry 3 weren...

I'm with ya. Two little ones means I'm lucky to get in an hour of gaming max each day. And that's only if I can stay awake long enough. Still, wouldn't trade them for anything. Makes it tougher to invest the hours needed to get the most out of long games, but se la vi.
I'm of the same mindset. They paid a mound of cash when they are really hurting financially. Hard to believe they won't at least try to capitalize on that.
It seems like a given to include this in upcoming TVs, DVD/Blu Ray players, and certainly game systems (hopefully console & portable alike). Probably somehow made optional since it may not be a feature every new buyer wants/uses/recognizes. Sony might have to give away a free game controller and 1 month tri...
Yup, hacking and ID theft can still happen to anyone. All it takes is a bad decision, a retail store you shopped at being hacked, etc.
Still a good idea not to stack the cards in the hackers' favor, aye? Some people - like folks using these passwords - actually seem to WANT to be hacked. lol
Absolutely agreed. It's amazing how ignorant people still are about hacking and ID theft in this day and age. Including parents who tag game consoles with their credit card info, but then let the kid pick a password like either of the examples here.
If a toddler can guess your password, you're probably a moron and deserve what's coming.
I'm not even sure if it would help including a "password strength" indicator when people first si...
The 560 Ti is still a solid card for current games. If its performance satisfies you, then you probably don't need to upgrade.
But if you want to go for more and you can find a matching card and a good deal, perhaps you could go the SLI route (lots of performance there => a pair of 560 Ti's can outdo a 580) - especially if future games really give you a performance hit. If you're comfortable tweaking settings (I know you said you aren't a die hard PC ga...
If you didn't want to wait you can pick up a Steam code for the Darkness 2 via Amazon (currently $12.49). Not a bad price, not sure what kinda' deal Steam might offer direct though (not sure if the same/similar is available through Amazon UK either).

It really is an enjoyable game from start to finish. And the online MP is a blast (this is coming from a SP guy). I'd echo the above. If you like FPS games - and Resistance in particular - you'll likely think it's worth every penny.
My only gripes: The sound effects can be sketchy (hollow & metallic at times, very nice at others), at launch it took a while to get into MP games (I'm not having any more issues now), and the platinum was a little too quic...
Agreed. I'm at the end of the game and enjoyed it the entire time. IMHO this is a solid entry in the franchise - not the peak of it - but pretty damn good.
My only beef was online MP - couldn't get into a game until last night, but I'm more of a SP gamer anyway.
I'd give it a 7-8, personally.
I don't get the low reviews. It looks good, plays great, the new weapons and chimera are cool. Sound is so-so. How that equat...

What was bad about Dead Space 2?
Agreed. I enjoyed it for what it was. Campy humor, over the top gameplay, and the shooting mechanics were solid enough. Personally, I even got a kick out of the story (not mind bending stuff, but interesting imho).
And the ridiculous quotes gave me a chuckle or two. What other game delivers classics like, "You're going to kill our d!cks? WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?!"
I'd actually recommend this game to most anybody (didn't play the PC...
Agree w/ Yi-Long.
Wait for the "Mega Super Ultimate Gold Edition" of whatever game Capcom is selling and you'll avoid most DLC charges.
Unfortunately, that may mean waiting until like the 3rd edition of a given game * cough * SF4 * cough * but we all know it's coming. Capcom - on disc DLC or not - never intends the first release to be complete or even able to become complete (designed obsolescence).
Sad. Predictable. And ...
Yeah, loads of great games and they're always looking to add more.
I'm hoping that System Shock 2 and Grim Fandango get added someday.
By all means add your request for these games (or others you'd like to see) to the community wishlist:

Cool. Hadn't heard about this game until just now. Might be a gem.
MS has been quite open about their intent to become the proverbial all purpose media hub in every home.
Eliminating a disk drive would be a step backwards in that regard. Perhaps not fatal, but a move that would deter those who still use disks for movies.
I'd venture MS will keep the 360 going for a while alongside its successor - if for no other reason than the flak they took when they abruptly dropped support for the original Xbox when the 360 rolled out.
Not sure if the 360 will have the longevity of the PS2 (which is still chugging along and generating some sales - unreal!). But it should be interesting to see.
Heavenly Sword for $15.99 + free shipping. Great deal for those how haven't played this excellent game yet. Otherwise not much to see for console games.
Some good PC deals, though (Dead Space 2, Dead Island, Just Cause 2, Shogun 2, Darkspore, among others)
Gives some reason for optimism.
It'll be a day one purchase for me (whenever it arrives). Ueda's games are unique, high quality, and leave a lasting impression.
Seems obvious the countdown would only apply to a possible announcement.
I haven't heard if they've even resolved their chip mfg. issues. Last I'd read - and admittedly I may have missed something - this particular problem called into question whether a release at the tail end of 2013 was still possible.
So June launch = not bloody likely.
