... I'd like everybody to "pay for my candy". But that ain't gonna' happen either.
It'd be nice to see the consoles running equivalent to max settings on a PC, but I just don't see it with this game.
Who did?
Seriously, anyone who had their beefy PC (for the time) humiliated by the original Crysis had to wonder how the console version was going to work out.
I'm not usually much for cross-platform comparison, but I am interested in this particular case - especially given all the bravado that's surrounded the game as a whole. To that end, this is the most humble statement coming out of Crytek in months.
Smoldering eyes with flaming nostrils and leaving a trail of fire = pretty slick.
Agro would probably be a close second for me overall, although I would say that Agro is more memorable (see end game twist).
There's no way that Pachter is an actual gamer - even though he likes to pose as an industry "expert".
If he was he'd know what a jackassed idea this type of DRM is.
I'd prefer he keep his trap shut, slide on his leg warmers, tighten his controller wrist strap, and go back to playing the hardcore Wii shovelware games that he loves.
I remember thinking, "Now THIS is a next gen leap" the first time I saw it.
It verges on photorealistic, and is absolutely jaw dropping. I think I saved the game right there so I could see it whenever I pleased.
Not that there weren't other awesome sights to behold in UC1 (there were many), but IMHO this was the real humdinger.
Seriously, anyone who hasn't taken that view in should go do it right now (near the beginning of ...
Natal could be cool, but I need to see some high quality games with some substance to them before I open my wallet. Especially at that price tag.
Same goes for Sony and Move (although I believe Move is to be substantially cheaper, no?).
If I hear the term "waggle" associated with either of them, well, you can count me the F out.
Personally, I liked the controls in KZ2.
And, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Guerrilla tack on a "CoD-like" control option. Ya' know, for those that couldn't adapt ;0)
These are great studios when they're just working on their own.
But when you get them working together to interweave the best each studio has to offer, that = staggering potential.
Neither Move nor Natal has shown me anything that makes me want to open my wallet. At least - not yet. Maybe this E3 will reveal something more concrete and tangibly appealing.
I think we can all agree the last thing any 360 or PS3 owner wants is shovelware from the Wii. Step one - from both MS and Sony - SHOULD BE eliminating all of that crap by making it clear to devs & pubs that it's a no go.
No quality control = no release.
Capcom's new motto. And boy are they sticking to it.
Wonder why? Couldn't be because the game absolutely blows donkey shlong? Nah.

Crazy thought Capcom: make a game that people want to actually KEEP.
Like a lot of people, I was skeptical about AW given the long road that it took to even get here.
But color me impressed. This is a legitimately great game. Impressive visuals, creepy atmosphere, solid gameplay, well told story, etc. My only gripe is the plastic-like faces in some cut scenes - otherwise really top notch.
IMHO, AW is the best survival horror game since Dead Space, although it doesn't quite reach DS's level. I think AW is considerab...
I was pretty pumped for KZ3 before!
But ND participating should pretty much assure top notch presentation.
That motherf'r was asking for it the entire damn game.
On Elite difficulty that dude was so useless - actually a complete liability - it was criminal.
I'm hoping for R3. I love the Resistance series. Insomniac knows how to deliver. Even those who love R1 more than R2 (like me) still found a lot to love in the sequel.
And I'm with you. IMHO Resistance: FoM was the best launch title released with any console (irrespective of generation).
MS and Valve have always been tight. So I've always been a little puzzled why they never quite put the pieces together on this one.
Seems like it would be a win for both of them.
Steam gets some additional games & store traffic.
MS gets a legit digital distribution platform to deal from.
Head scratcher.
Newell confessed that he can’t explain why Valve isn’t yet making PS3 games “without having to detail this pretty long process about how we evaluate those kinds of decisions.”
Translation (minus Gabe's BS): "We simply don't know how to develop for the PS3. Now all the other devs are so far ahead of us that we probably can't catch up. But I'm going to continue giving vague non-replies to the PS3 question until this gen is over. I'm sure this will a...
After the complete train wreck they made out of LP2 my hopes for Dead Rising sank (pun not intended).
I canceled my preorder for Dead Rising 2 because of how bad LP2 turned out. I have no faith in Capcom anymore.
IMHO, Capcom seems to be just mailing it in when they should be focused on churning out titles worthy of the AAA hype they (undeservedly) get.
They need to show me something before they get another penny from me.
The original LP was ok for the time. Not great. Impressive in some respects, poorly done in others. And the PS3 version was actually one of the "bad ports"; the 360 and PC versions were truly considerably better.
And I can confirm LP2 is absolute crap. I don't know how Capcom made this game so much worse when it appeared to have much more promise.
If you can find a used copy of LP cheap, might be worth a few bucks for one of the decent versi...
