So, do the folks disagreeing with doctorstrange intend to buy Battle: Los Angeles? (or perhaps they missed the "/s"...)
I'm hoping it's the latter. Tried the 360 demo. It was a pretty hollow experience. No way it was worth full price. Probably wouldn't even buy it on sale.
On the plus side, agreed, I'm all for Journey - can't wait for that one.
And I'm curious how Santum of Slime will turn out. Haven...
@ Megaton
Agreed. Valve is the rightful champion of (and for) the PC platform. And thank God for that. Without a heavyweight to defend it, the integrity of PC gaming would erode - this type of thing from MS is the tip of the iceberg.
And it's not like Valve uses a complex formula, either. Know your customers, keep them happy (that applies to both consumers & devs/publishers).
Well played! And truer than most would care to admit...
Which set of geeks is smarter - Sony's IT team or the hackers?
I'd pay to see that cage match. Nerd rage at it's best.
Edit: Hard to believe this hacker's claim, though. Saying a hack will circumvent future FW updates is akin to saying something is hackproof.
No worries. Amazon automatically upgrades your discount, so long as it applies to the platform you ordered it on. You don't have to do a thing.
...but I think I'll wait for a Steam sale.
I'm disappointed how the PC version was treated. E.g. gimping the the isometric view (one of my favorite features from DA:O).
Game sales don't take place in a vacuum. Most people that were dying to play ME2 probably already did so.
One certainly wouldn't expect a year old game to sell like hotcakes when it's finally ported over to a different platform - especially in such a competitive release window. We've seen this trend before - e.g. Bioshock. Awesome game, but I seem to recall a number of articles similar to this one when the port was released on PS3.

Well said. Perhaps Edge has a peace activist doing their shooter reviews.
Wouldn't have been surprised if they complained, "There's too many bullets!" or, "The bad men want to hurt me!"

Clear your calendars
Idiotic decisions are synonymous with Capcom nowadays.
I bought Final Fight without knowing about this BS, and I won't be making that mistake again.
Too bad, but your loss Capcom. And don't you dare bitch or make excuses if this sells poorly.
Agreed. With DRM it's just a question of "when" it will be cracked.
This is one reason I like the "activation on Steam = DRM confirmation" angle.
I do most of my PC gaming through Steam anyway, so it's not intrusive.
It's unfortunate but true: this is the only way to get through to pretty much any corporation.
Conversely, companies will always test the waters to see what concessions gamers are willing to accept (pay for). If we buy, it's effectively an endorsement of whatever change they tinkered with. DLC, DRM, you name it.
Good. I was hoping for this. It was criminal how poorly DS1 sold.
I'm no EA fan, but I like to see sales go to the games that deserve it. And make no mistake - DS1 and DS2 are both excellent.
@ xAlmostPro - Agreed, great game, worth every penny. And I think you're onto something there. Some gamers will find the game too horrifying to play or finish. Others will find the game just creepy, but not truly scary.
IMHO, there's ...
"Nut" being the operative word. No mentally healthy person does something like this. Let's just ignore the fact that this guy is a whack job. /s
The "videogame" descriptor is just to pin the blame on a convenient scapegoat.
@Jony_dols
Brian Cox is awesome in most everything he does. I'll always think of him as the Scotsman he played in Braveheart (his best role, IMHO).
"I'm your uncle, Argyle"
Malcolm will be a welcome addition - they could do a lot with his character.
Sidebar: Speaking of God of War, Linda Hunt would absolutely be my nomination for Most Prolific Narrator. Masterful throughout the entire series.
Didn't he also do the voice of the sidekick at the start of Singularity?
Absolutely. The other weapons is DS1 were cool, but for some reason I loved the PC better than all the rest => surgically carving up enemies never got old.
The only exception was the line gun - maxed out, that thing was ridiculous. I had a grin on my face every time I (literally) mowed down a row of necromorphs. If only you could carry more ammo...
Side note, I'm curious to see all the options they give for Isaac's suits this time around.
^^
True. Haven't heard anything as far as a release date for Journey - at least nothing firm.
