Agreed - very atmospheric - that part they did well. That's probably the reason I'd say overall it was an enjoyable game.
The gunplay is where I was let down. The weaponry as a whole lacked any pop or "wow" factor - made worse by enemies that didn't really react (for the most part) to being shot/stabbed. The death animations were pretty weak as well.
I wasn't initially all that impressed. Not until I took a closer look at what image framed the teeth.
I don't usually pay much attention to box art, but that is fairly cool.

Redlogic appears to be right.
Logged into my e-mail today and was stumped by the e-mail stating I had a 5$ credit for the game when I'd already been issued a $15 credit.
Sure enough, $20 it is.
Nice move, Amazon. Kudos.
Was keeping on eye on this and hoping for better. Ah well, not a total surprise either.
Perhaps a game I'll get someday on a Steam sale.
@ superman
Most items sold from Amazon itself (not marketplace merchants) offer free shipping for orders totaling over $25 - it's called Free Super Saver Shipping or something like that. Look at Socom 4 on Amazon right now - it has this tag.
I haven't come across a video game or peripheral that cost over $25 and wasn't eligible for that option. Upgrading shipping speed might change that, but otherwise you shouldn't have had a problem (unless...
@ xbox360achievements
Touche. That's why this could make for some hilarious dialog and one liners.
Granted, it also would probably make for a media firestorm (look what the Capture The Babe mode lead to). I'm sure Gearbox is weighing this carefully...
I could care less about Capcom. They lost me a long time ago.
And this entire PSN thing illustrates why gamers are/were pissed at them about Final Fight having an online DRM component. Fear confirmed. FU Capcom.
What concerns me is the financial impact on other devs that actually do a decent job.
I'd say that's commensurate with the crime at hand. I like it. But a couple things...
Let's skip the trial and keep the execution bit (some vigilante justice seems fitting for these self-described vigilantes).
And what say we add some torture before the actual whackings. Perhaps start with plucking off their toenails one by one? Or tape their eyes open and force them to watch reality tv shows (which is probably more painful)?
A couple of my favs:
"You've been killed by PeaceActivists"
"You've been killed by Global_Warming"
Never hurts to have a little humor while you're respawning, aye?
Same here. Picked up 3rd party 250 GB drive off e-bay for $50. You can probably get a 120 GB for even less. A lot of sellers offer both.
If you go this route, pick a reputable seller and double check their feedback for the HDDs to make sure they're getting positive reviews.
Speaking of hilariously awesome - and I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this - how about a game where the object is to shoot Uwe Boll.
@ Shikamaroooo
Yup, March has historically been the release window for GoW. No reason they couldn't revise that, though, and try for a holiday blockbuster.
Regardless, E3 might've just gotten more interesting.
You won't regret it. It's that much more beautiful and immersive with the settings cranked up (pretty reasonable system requirements as well).
This is coming from a Bioshock-aholic. Beat the game at least twice on every platform. It's just that good!
Everybody should play this game. If you have a PS3, 360, or decent PC, you owe it to yourself to play this game.
Incredible environment, unforgettable characters/scenarios, excellent gameplay, the ability to play the game a different way each time, and the list goes on.
And you can pick it up cheap nowadays.
@ d'bill. Agreed. Looking forward to seeing what comes from reviews & such before I buy, but definitely keeping an eye on this one.
@ trainsinrdr - Seriously? How'd you get down to 1 bubble to begin with? Perhaps try toning it down on whatever it was that got you there. Crazy thought, aye ;0)?
The irony of the title really does stick out, doesn't it.
"GameStop Set To Kill OnLive And Steam"
Steam is a beast. Good luck with that.
This is the surprise of the week for me!
Awesome news. I love me some SSHD. But I had no idea they even intended to provide DLC at this point - especially since it released way back when.
It may not be a sequel, but I'll gladly take it.
Wow. There's being desperate for hits, and then there's this.

Edit: @ Jiminey - well said my friend, well said. Some opinions are too ridiculous to demand respect, and this is one of them.
Sold.
