I said that the other day. There's no way a 400 dollar PC (imagine not including Windows) from 5 years ago would play any current multiplats at the same level of consoles right now.
PC gaming is great but you have to pay more for it through bi/tri-yearly upgrades.
New consoles gen is needed now.
I just want to say Batman AC GOTY.
I just hope the games that offer new experiences and strong storylines get the sales they deserve.
So far my GOTY is Batman AC, but i'll see how Uncharted and Skyrim are.
My fav MP of the year is probably Gears 3 surprisingly but I no longer care for military shooters currently, they seem to be all about pray and spray and whoever spots who first wins.
I prefer my Halo and Gears for MP where you can go mano-e-mano and have the best ma...
Halo 3 had a never ending level that I hate more than any level ever....but I still love my Halo.
That Gears level was awesome IMO.
The only levels I think totally suck are the ones that are incredibly hard, long and repetitive or just really long and repetitive....like the Library in Halo.
Uncharted 2's last boss almost ruined a magnificent game for me, I loved the whole thing but the last boss left a really bad taste in my mouth. I went from love to hate.
It was just boring and really long...I hate massive difficulty spikes, it's bad design.
Lol thats what you want but what you'll get is pay-to-play MP for every game. Have fun paying every publisher a monthly/yearly fee for MP.
Gaming will get a lot more expensive for the MP focused crowd.
I can't wait until devs start implementing HD audio next gen.
Although, there's no reason for PS3 games not to have HD audio as 25 gigs is more than enough.
I bought the 360 version but I stood in the store for like 25 minutes trying to find info on which one has better 3D.
I surmise the PS3 but neither console can do 720p with few jaggies 3D that well anyways. The best I've seen is Crysis 2, Motorstorm, and SuperStardust. The rest look like low res shit so I just got the slightly sharper 360 version.
My point is that LoT should include 3D in the analysis as it would weigh in for PS3.
MS is impressive, they've cemented themselves in the console arena on their second try, not many companies can say that, and many have tried.
And that's despite RROD and charge to play MP. Gears, ME, and Halo 3 were a deadly combo....but Sony did f'up A LOT this gen with the difficulty of developing for PS3, lack of initial games and it's early marketing/price,
Next-gen should be very very interesting as MS lost (arguably all) major exclusive...
I love numbers for reviews, preferably a percentage.
Batman is a great game, the only inflated reviews I see are when games like COD gets 95% when it's the same game as the previous year but with new environments and different perks/rewards.
Id and Bungie should make a game together = graphics and gameplay
Id should focus on gameplay instead of graphics.
Also, I found the wrold of Rage immediately off-putting. I'm tired of drab, dead, overly-brown environments - take me to places I've never seen....maybe because I've logged 150hrs in Fallout.
Maybe he appreciates the art, they certainly look more like comics than movies.

Reviewers lie all the time, for example Joystiq gave Child of Eden and that ridiculous puppet shooter 100% scores.
Reviewers are very pressured by some to give better scores than what games deserve.
That's funny because that's exactly what Vita is, not that that is a bad thing.
