Nintendo should just compete with Sony and MS on the same level, meaning a normal controller, similar storage format and comparable power.
Nintendo's first party is what differentiates it, combine that with multiplats that look and play reletively the same as on PS4 and 720 and a quality online hub would make Nintendo number one for both casuals an hardcore.

360 has too much bloom but at least it's not crushing blacks like usual. Regardless, both are close enough for single console owners to not feel at all bad.
I agree that it's not GOTY. I loved Uncharted 3 but the gunplay was lacking.
The enemies didn't react properly to being shot, sometimes you could shoot a guy (with no armour) 3 times before he even moved, it really took me out of the experience during fire fights.
Gunplay is the only thing I think needs improvement, it's was stupid to have enemies be invincible until that magic final shot.
Am I the only one who thought that Portal 2 was way over-rated. The puzzles weren't that challenging nor the story that great. Overall, the game just wasn't that much fun IMO.
For me, it's a solid 7/10 - good enough but not great.

Sony has a lot of great idea's but doesn't really focus that hard on them, nor completely gives up on them either but it would be better just to take one thing really seriously until it's a success then move on.

The challenge is in having flawless fights with the biggest multipliers. But you're right combat could be tougher.
Dark Souls is very hard but not at all cheap, Gears 3 on insane is cheap due to blast radiuses.
