Funny how you criticize Xbox Live in your post below and yet ask for new PSN features to make it more like... Xbox Live.
Banjo Kazooie for 600 points = sweet deal.
Well you would expect them to have improved it. Restoring to system to its former state would be pointless.
I don't think he's a very good PR guy. I remember him doing an interview while working at Microsoft and coming across as really desperate.
You don't hear about other countries because they don't record sales data like the US (NPD) and the UK (UKIE) do. Deal with it.
@ newn4gguy
So by your reckoning Amazon.com represents worldwide numbers does it? And you're lecturing people about common sense and logic...
Mate the 360 is far from perfect but if there is anything that Microsoft got spot on then it is Xbox Live. It's such a great service and apart from 2007 (which I think they handled pretty well) never goes down except for a few hours maintenance maybe 2 or 3 times a year. Some people just say things out of spite rather than logic.
Funny how the article poses a question and then answers it for us.
Just started playing today and really enjoying it. The shared respawn system works so well as it encourages teamwork. The maps are really well designed also, my favorite being old town. I do agree that the double barreled shotgun is overpowered and the spawns could be better, but I guess that's what the beta is for.
Right but it didn't affect everyone like this PSN outage has done. Also I think it definitely IS worth distinguishing between a service being overloaded and a service being hacked, because it's a bloody big difference.
It wasn't an outage in 2007 though, some people couldn't sign in due to bandwidth issues. Do your research before berating other people.
Again, it wasn't down, it suffered from bandwidth issues preventing SOME people from signing in. Completely different scenario.
Seriously we don't need 20 articles covering the same basic topic. If people want to sit in front of their PS3s all day trying to sign in every 5 minutes while ranting about it on N4G then fine but at least keep it relatively contained.
ODST has the best Halo campaign for me in terms of style and atmosphere.
People still play Counter Strike, an 11 year old game.
I stopped playing MW2 cause they never manged to balance it properly. The running class completely took the fun out of it also.
Live's only major downtime was back in 07 when there was an unprecedented number of people were trying to access XBL (this was when Halo 3 and CoD4 has just been released). They compensated all members with a free XBLA game, would be interesting to see if Sony does the same.
Article sounds like a poor attempt at a rallying cry by a fanboy spitting his dummy out cause he can't get online. I mean, why bring Xbox Live into it? Obviously trying to stir up the fanboys for hits.
People are already losing their minds without PSN.
The Xbox Nations event is Europe only, but the Free Weekend is for everyone.
Well done to Sony for taking nearly a week to tell their customers that their personal info may have been compromised. This will go down as one of the all time worst PR suicides.
