People reported loads of problems with Crysis 2 at launch and yet it was patched before it came out over here. I guess it can't be said for all games, but at least we are made aware of the issues.
The auto-standby feature is a nice addition, I have a few friends that leave their Xboxs on overnight, does my head in. At least this will reduce their elec. consumption.
I guess this is one benefit of games releasing a few days later here in the UK, all the launch bugs and issues are usually resolved by the time we get it.
And to think of all those people that thought it wouldn't sell...
Unless you're one of these obsessive polygon counters, I don't see how the difference in number of discs makes one version "superior" than the other.
Huge numbers for a beta. Nice to see that the servers held up well.
I guess the beta offer went some way towards boosting those numbers. I never pre-order games but I did so with Gears 3 to get into the beta. Still, 1 million pre-orders with 4 months until release is amazing.
Sorry but you're wrong. People on this website place way too much emphasis on exclusives, even though they account for such a small percentage of games. The only benefit of more exclusives is having a broader range of games to choose from over another console. A number of people on here think that a game isn't worth playing if it's not exclusive. I mean how narrow-minded is that?
And they have learn't from their mistake, hence why I said a certain other company could "learn" from this.
I put over 100 hours into Oblivion and never saw the whole map. I think that's a good thing though, why should you be able to see everything in the world?
LA Noire having 3 discs had nothing to do with the map size, or else you would be changing discs every time you entered a new district.
They didn't invest in the future of their online service, or else this outage wouldn't have happened.
Now that's good customer service. Microsoft jumps on the issue before it begins to escalate and offers not just a replacement, but an upgrade. A certain other company could learn from this...
At the end of the day who gives a shit what fanboys think? If people are that fickle for a fanboy to influence their judgement then they might as well become a fanboy themselves. Fanboys thought that Portal 2 looked better on the PS3, that didn't stop it selling better on the 360. Unless console disparities noticeably affect performance then there's really nothing for either console owners to make something out of it, even if fanboys try to.
Sometimes there are games like that though. Bayonetta for example was a game significantly inferior on the PS3 because of longer loading times and frame-rate problems, and that was after a mandatory install. I don't think 360 owners will be too bothered about such minute disparities seen in LA Noire. Even the disc issue isn't a major issue, but I guess if you have both consoles that would be the tipping point.
I get the feeling that they altered the mood of the game slightly after the reaction to THAT trailer.
Nah there was no complaints of that sort about Forza 3. There was a bit of an uproar about the DLC but otherwise the game was universally praised.
Try again... oh wait, one bubble.
Like these graphical "edges" even matter when the game is in motion. The only time when ports should come into question is when there are disparities in performance such as frame-rate issues and loading times. This is just nitpicking.
The 2100 points cards are always in the top 20. I bought Assassins Creed Brotherhood with one and it more or less cost the same as the game by itself.
